Bengals won't encounter Stealers DB William Jackson in Week 11

The Cincinnati Bengals won’t get a shot at former first-round pick William Jackson when they play the Pittsburgh Stealers in Week 11.

Jackson, Cincinnati’s 24th overall pick in 2016, demanded a trade out of Washington before the deadline and got his wish, getting shipped to Pittsburgh. (I didn't see that)

Not long after, the Stealers wound up placing Jackson on injured reserve due to a back issue. (Dat's funny... Suckers)

For Bengals fans (and former cornerback Adam Jones), that’s something of a disappointment given the way Jackson’s tenure with the Bengals ended on such a sour note.

It’s also an interesting addition to the fact the Bengals might not encounter star Stealers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick when the two AFC North rivals get together this weekend.

Well, it sounds like no Jamarr Chase this weekend so I guess Fitzpatrick and Jackson Being out makes us even.

Side note: What a lousy week for me to have to share an office with the daughter of a former Squeelers player. She has a Squeelers license plate sitting on the wall next to her desk. UGH!!

Not just Watt you have to worry about - Alex Highsmith wins AFC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Watt do we have to worry about?

I don't know Watt you're talking about.

Dying only takes a moment, suffering can last a lifetime.  Suffer, let them suffer.

They are going to have a crappy record, an opportunity to get a good QB, and because they took one last season, they will stupidly pass on taking one in the 1st Rd in 2023, prolonging their misery at the bottom of the AFC for many more years.

Predictions for Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Stealers

:pissing:1398199394000-jwilliams.jpg?width=48&hei:pointlaff: Jason Williams  Cincinnati Enquirer

The wait is over. The tough portion of the Cincinnati Bengals' schedule has arrived. We're about to find out if the Bengals can repeat the strong stretch run they had last season and make the playoffs.

If they're truly contenders, the Bengals have to go into Pittsburgh this weekend and defeat the struggling Stealers.

The Bengals used up their mulligans by sputtering through the lighter portion of the schedule. This is a must-win game for them coming out of the bye. Pittsburgh is one of two teams left on the Bengals' schedule that currently has a losing record.

A positive development for the Bengals: The game got moved out of the primetime slot last week. Kicking off four hours earlier is not insignificant for a team that’s lost an NFL-record 13 straight primetime road games, including two this season.

The Bengals are a four-point favorite, according to Tipico Sportsbook. But it’s a tough game to predict, mostly because Cincinnati’s offense has been inconsistent all season. The Bengals entered the bye after having their worst offensive performance and their best offensive outing in a span of seven days.

It’s anyone’s guess which version of the offense shows up in Pittsburgh, especially with receiver Ja’Marr Chase still out with a hip injury. Cincinnati’s offense was flat-out awful against the Stealers in the Bengals’ season-opening loss at Paycor Stadium. Joe Burrow threw four interceptions and was sacked seven times.

Stealers linebacker T.J. Watt was a menace to the Bengals that day before he left with an injury. Watt had an interception, a sack and two other tackles for a loss. He returned from injury last week, and he’ll be looking to exploit an offensive line that's tied for third in the NFL in sacks allowed.

The Stealers thrive as a home underdog under coach Mike Tomlin. Pittsburgh has won seven straight home games as the underdog, according to Action Network. Tomlin is 7-2 all-time against the Bengals as an underdog. Overall, Tomlin’s Stealers are 22-8 all-time against the Bengals.

But the Bengals won in Pittsburgh last season for the first time in six years. The Bengals get a big boost this week with run-stopping defensive tackle D.J. Reader returning from injury. Cincinnati’s defense will be ready like it has for every game except the Halloween night debacle in Cleveland.

For as bad as Cincinnati’s offense was in the season opener, the Bengals only lost by three points in overtime. The Bengals’ offense doesn’t have to be great in this game. It just needs to make fewer mistakes than last time. Look for the Bengals to win their first AFC North division game of the season.

Prediction: Bengals win, 21-17

Curious any word on minkah playing? Tomlinson playing normal games with injury report he could play. Video of practice show him jogging and doing cardio. I hope mixon can have success this weekend.

Burrow on if he has any advice for Minkah Fitzpatrick on recovering from appendix surgery, flashed a smile: “Maybe just wait another week.”

Apparently Taylor said the team contacted Larry Ogunjobi before he signed with the Steelers.

yea, nor surprised, but much better opportunity for him up there, at best he would likely split time with hill, up there he can be the guy.

no brainer for him business wise.
