Cleveland Football Team (Episode 2) Week

Recommended Posts

FWIW, I watched the Browns game today. 14 of their points came off of defense and special teams and 7 more points came off of a turnover deep in Texans territory. The Texans also got a safety off of them. They did not look like an offensive juggernaut.

But…much like I predicted…the first headlines out of the box were:

”Watson Rusty, but Browns Beat Texans”

”Watson Returns. Browns Win”

He had—not even virtually—no contribution to that decision today.

We can expect more hype this week, now that he has slid past the media in his “return”

His main contribution was throwing an INT when they were in the red zone. Texans wound up scoring 3 points on that.

Still think this game could be flexed next week.

Not impossible Stealers and Ravens flexed.

One of the games, anyway.

I think the networks would see the benefit of having these games

flexed not only for the possible impact on the playoffs but some of

the major players involved, Limping Lamar, Kenny Picksix and George Prickins,

Whack Off Watson and the entire Bengals team.

I believe you have to flex 2 weeks before

Don't know.

When I looked up the 506 Sports maps earlier this week the site said they would not be available until Wednesday

waiting to see if and who were flexed.

I think the Sunday night game originally scheduled for today

was flexed out because the teams sucked.

12 days

Just as the six major college football conferences have done for many years, the NFL has the flexibility to move the start times of games on Sundays, using a 12-day notice format.

Not convinced the NFL will want to go straight from the-debut-no-one-saw directly to Marqee-time with The Massage Therapist. At least not this fast.

For all intents and purposes, CFT are dead for what remains of 2022. There is no real need for the league to highlight them—and absolutely no need to bring MT front and center into living rooms.

Oh yeah they showed him on the sideline yucking it up with the team.  NFL cares about as much as they did when Ben raped a woman in a public restroom.   Which is to say, not at all.  If it's not caught on video and uploaded to social media or subject to actual criminal charges they're going to pretend it never happened.

Yeah the league is not going to flex Watson into a primetime game.

Speaking of shit on primetime - Monday night Dullton action!

The NFC South is so ass that they're still in the playoff hunt at 4-8.  Very real possibility the division "winner" finishes with a losing record.

Nice....

The Amazing career of the Goat goes on..

Leading a .500-ish team to a first round playoff exit..  Probably not what he had in mind.

I'm sure he'll put off the decision for as long as he can to keep the drama going but does he really come back for another season?
