Better than that 0-4 playoff loser who cried about not getting balloons and cake on his birthday.  Still defending the bum, Bengal fans?

Hate to be the one to break this to you but nobody here really cares about Dalton anymore but you  Even Go himself seems to have moved on to Volson.

Bengals hint at getting Ravens back for perceived dirty play

‘We’ve got something for that.’

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Ja’Marr Chase got the question Wednesday about some alleged post-whistle shenanigans during the Bengals 27-16 win over the Ravens last weekend.

Asked whether it bothered him, Chase smirked, shook his head and, with all body language suggesting otherwise, answered: “Nah.”

A different locker room might have turned it into a story heading into the wild-card rematch, but few Bengals players took the bait during media availability.

It was absolutely a story coming out of last week’s game. Fans and players alike criticized the Ravens for perceived dirty play as well as the officials for supposedly missing it. [Videos]

Especially irksome was the facemask against quarterback Joe Burrow—oof—in the third quarter on a play where Burrow fumbled inside the Bengals’ five yard line.

That missed call, at least in the minds of fans, seemed to validate a trend.

Back in the first quarter, wide receiver Tyler Boyd was running the deeper route of a high-low concept against cover-2. Burrow overthrew him, and Boyd got lit up out of bounds.

In the second, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith body-slammed Ja’Marr Chase into the ground. In the third, Chase was body-slammed again, this time by Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton with Smith there as well. A possible hit to Chase’s head happened minutes later with Smith wrapped around his waist.

Ravens cornerback Daryl Worley’s hard hit to the gut of wide receiver Tee Higgins drew gasps from the crowd and knocked Higgins out for a play. And then there was this:

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, usually mild-mannered, was visibly apoplectic on the sidelines at least twice.

Defensive tackle and team leader D.J. Reader wouldn’t get into specifics postgame. He said simply, “They know, we know.”

Rookie cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt showed no such restraint. “There was a lot of cheap s*** going on,” he said. “Just know that we owe them. Even though we won this s***, we owe them.”

Strong words. Fighting words. But emotions are high right after the players leave the field, and it remained to be seen whether the Bengals would take all that tinder and set it ablaze.

No dice. Taylor sidestepped the question on Monday. “I think these divisional games are always hard-fought games, and that’s just the way it goes,” he said.

Cornerback Mike Hilton acknowledged the situation but dismissed it: “If that’s what they’ve got to do to hype themselves up, it’s whatever. We just go out and perform. That’s on them. We play football.”

Ja’Marr Chase singled out Roquan Smith as “the only one doing messy stuff.”

Asked about a specific play where Burrow missed Chase in the end zone and some extracurricular activity ensued, Chase said of Smith, “He did that on purpose. That’s alright, we’ve got something for that.”

And with that barest hint of retribution, Chase moved on, leaving the rest for us to infer from the dregs of body language and what happens next Sunday after the whistle.

Looks like the Ravens have accomplished their initial mission...they seemed to be specifically targeting Ja'marr, probably trying to get in his head.  I really hope the team doesn't take the bait...just focus on football and make Sunday night they last game they play until August...that's all the "get back" that's needed.

Ravens’ Smith responds to Bengals comments on physicality of Week 18 game

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - “See you Sunday.” Baltimore linebacker Roquan Smith kept it brief when responding to the Bengals’ comments on the physicality of last Sunday’s game.

The Ravens-Bengals wild card game is taking on the feel of a smashmouth, buckle your chinstrap nature.

Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and some of his teammates pointed out several plays they have not forgotten about. Some of those plays involved Baltimore’s Smith.

Chase said Smith’s actions after that play were intentional.

“He did that on purpose,” the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year claimed. “That’s alright, we’ve got something for that.”

Chase even singled out Smith as “the only one doing messy stuff.”

A number of plays during the Week 18 game, like the one below, irked Bengals fans and players.

The referees did not throw a flag on the play pictured (In my sig)

Tee Higgins was the unfortunate recipient of one of the bigger hits in the game.

The Bengals’ receiver ran a deep crossing route when he was leveled by a Baltimore defender while going up for the ball.

Smith jumped over the shaken-up Higgins as he lay on the Paycor field.

Cincinnati’s rookie cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt had some choice words for the Ravens when talking about last Sunday’s game. “There was a lot of cheap s*** going on,” he said, according to a story by The Athletic’s Jay Morrison. “Just know that we owe them. Even though we won this s***, we owe them.”

Smith got his chance to respond Wednesday to the comments made by the Bengals.

"See you Sunday night."

It will be interesting to see how the officials handle the Ravens-Bengals wild card game.

Referee Clay Martin and his crew have been assigned for the Sunday Night Football matchup at Paycor Stadium.

League will not care they want kc and Buffalo. They will headhunt burrow first then chase. Reminds me of Stealers when they hurt Palmer Henry .

Because the NFL loves this sort of shit when it's not Marsha Brady or some other cash cow franchise star getting lit up

He’s going to be the center stage prop for the NFL and BUF for the rest of the Super Bowl tournament.

The Bengals will probably win. After last year—and a gap of 31 years without a playoff win—getting any playoff win will be thrilling.

Just a nagging sense that this will be it for the season. They have the skills to get further, of course, but just not seeing a path past BUF up there.

As I always say…hopefully this post does not age well.
