Joe's next contract

Maybe Joe doesn't want a 6 year extension, he may want to see where the market and the team is at in 4 years and have the option to decide if he wants to stay in Cincy.

Maybe.

I dont believe that though.

He's a Bengal now and allways.

What makes you think Burrow wants out of Cincinnati or wants to maintain an option to leave Cincinnati? He has as much leverage here as Mahomes has in KC. He's a local hero, playing as close to home as possible, and will soon be among the highest paid players in the league. What a terrible fate 😜

Maybe he wants to have the leverage to keep management accountable and ensure they don't take him for granted.

This is a business decision so all of those emotional ties you listed don't matter, ultimately. Joe only has one shot at this so he has to maximize the opportunities, no other logical choice.

Maybe Joe wants to play in NYC, LA, or a major market before his career is over. A short term extension makes a ton of sense for Burrow and he has the leverage. Cincy can't afford to be in a Lamar situation with Burrow, the townsfolk would riot.

NFL teams are having to deal with a new dynamic of players having more leverage than ever in contract negotiations. Burrow is the vanguard of this new reality.

Burrow has repeatedly said he wants to be here and play for Taylor. You seem to think he's insincere about that but I doubt he is. He's going to be paid handsomely and is on a team that has the potential to win. The Jets and Rams will have QB openings in the not too distant future but will have to fill them before Burrow is free.

When was that taken?

This past weekend at UFC 287 in Miami.

Burrow attended the fight with Sam Hubbard, Justin Jefferson, Odell Beckham Jr., Nick & Joey Bosa, Carl Lawson, and David Njoku.

Trump attended with (or at least sat next to?) an interesting mix of Mike Tyson, Kid Rock, and Dana White (president of UFC).  They were seated in the same row as the Burrow gang, but just closer to the aisle.

The best part is that Shiesty probably said "Hi, I'm Joe" to Trump.

But I would bet Trump knows / remembers who Burrow is, as they met at the White House when LSU won the National Championship. So not their first time meeting each other.
