Oh here we go with the concern trolling "sOmE peOplE jUsT haVe tO be rIGhT" shit after a 5 paragraph essay calling me childish.

Get a hold of yourself dude, Joe Mixon doesn't care, he's not coming to your birthday party. Just let it go.

Who hurt you?

He's standing right there next to him while dude hip-fires rifle rounds in the middle of a neighborhood. Maybe that's not against the law, IDK, but it's sure as shit idiot behavior and a valid reason to wonder what the hell is going on with Mixon to make them think that's a reasonable course of action.

The backbending to defend this guy is pretty wild.

Wait a minute?  Mixon was there when this guy was unloading his gun?  I thought he wasn't home?

According to this, he was.

It was worst at least at right tackle, Collins was measurably worse than Rieley Rieff. What do you mean "now"?

You don't consider Volson, Karras, and Cappa big upgrades over Spain, Hopkins, and Adeniji?

When has the league ever suspended anyone for something someone else he was related to did? Name me one time.

Pacman Jones was suspended for his posse beating up a bouncer at a strip club.

But his legal problems don't have anything to do with that, right?

His current criminal charges are from a road rage incident. He'll most likely be sued for the incident where his sister's boyfriend shot a kid from Mixon's yard.  He can't plausibly claim to be unaware of the lengthy criminal background of the guy or that he was committing a crime merely by possessing a firearm while on probation. There's no evidence Mixon was demanding the guy shoot anyone or pointing out targets or anything like that.

Yes and Karras and Cappa were clearly better than what we had the year before. Volson was ok but he had his own issues as a rookie that needs to show improvement this year. Collins was far worse than Rieff. I'm not even sure what you're arguing at this point.

Also Pacman plead no contest in that incident so not the same as Mixon in the bro in law situation as for that specific incident he has not been charged with anything

The thing about the sister's boyfriend shooting a kid from Mixon's yard is that since Mixon isn't facing criminal charges, the NFL can proceed with punishment under the personal conduct policy. For the Menacing charges, they'll let the legal process play out and Mixon's lawyer may be able to delay it into next year.

The NFL isn't very friendly to 2nd amendment rights and the shooter was a prohibited person anyway.  So Mixon doesn't have a good defense to claims he's tarnishing the shield by harboring a career criminal who completely forseeably did something criminal.

Great draft imo.  Very surprised to see two WR drafted.  I guess we're keeping Mixon?  No Elliott?     Can we pick up a couple of UDFA OT's and try an experiment where we coach them up as blocking backs on passing plays? To help keep Burrow from getting killed back there.

I have to admit this looks really bad on Mixon.  I thought he wasn't there.  If he was there he holds some responsibility, IMO, and likely in the league's opinion as well.  Whether he is charged or not really doesn't matter.

While I agree he will be back this season barring any more odd behavior, I'm not sure why anyone would defend the guy.  He's had plenty of chances and continues to be a F up.

I'd love to see a more FB type with decent hands in the RB room.  Someone with some power that can execute a screen or dive for a few yards but is mostly out there trying to level blitzing LBs & DBs or chipping like a TE.  The shifty pass-catchers aren't worth much if the QB is flat on his back.

Joe Mixon's agent Peter Schaffer released a statement, saying that the running back's address had been improperly released to the public and that he had been the victim of multiple threats of physical harm and harassment on social media and at his residence in Cincinnati.

Shaffer said that on March 6, Joe Mixon was at his home along with his sister, her five children, her boyfriend and his physical therapist when a number of vehicles pulled up in front of the house, blocking the street. Joe Mixon and his physical therapist reportedly witnessed multiple people exit the vehicles carrying what appeared to be weapons.

Schaffer also included the following in his statement:

"Threats against your life, cars blocking the streets, people running through the neighborhood with what appear to be firearms. Joe and his physical therapist felt threatened and feared for their safety and the safety of the small children in the residence. At this time, Joe called the Bengals director of security to have police dispatched immediately to the residence as he feared for the well being of everyone in the residence. The physical therapist called 911 from a separate room. This 911 call recording has been made public and clearly shows the level of fear and concern in his voice from the situation as he was hiding behind a column in the house. The adults inside then instructed the five small children to race to the basement to shelter in place out of harms way.

"Joe went outside for the purpose of trying to figure out what was going on outside his house. Joe had no intention to confront anyone, nor did he. He did not intend to threaten anyone, nor did he. He did not intend to shoot anyone, nor did he. He witnessed an individual carrying what appeared to be a rifle racing directly towards his property as the individual continued to bark instructions. When another individual discharged a firearm, Joe interceded to stop the person discharging a firearm."

I miss the good old days when disgruntled fans would just spread trash on the guy's lawn.

It's a tough sell to convince a jury or whoever that these Nerf guns were real guns

In the middle of the day, yes.  After dark, it’s a much easier sell.

Plus, there have been previous instances of problems caused by students in “dart wars” with a nerf gun being mistaken for a “real weapon.”

I'd like to know how the ex-con BIL got the mini-AK. I'd also like to see video of the kids arriving because I'm guessing it looked more like grabass kids piling out of a clown car than it did a cartel death squad in balaclavas using hand signals.

Just seems like a wild overreaction for peaceful people minding their own business & definitely not up to anything shady. Although, there's a lot of hair-trigger nonsense going around lately.

Thankful that Lamonte can't aim for shit.

The “dart wars” are pretty serious with significant $ for the winning team.  The kid down the street (who was on the winning team one year) actually wore military-grade combat fatigues.  These guys sneak around…after dark…in order to ambush players on the opposing team.

Twenty years ago, the police in Montgomery and Blue Ash were trying to get “dart wars” outlawed due to all of the extra calls they were getting from residents…usually from neighbors of the targeted players that had no knowledge of “dart wars”…usually reporting suspicious individuals with weapons in their yards.
