Well, Burton did actually kinda contribute today as a kickoff returner,,,didn't do too bad actually.  Admittedly he's still a disappointment to date.

He did ok on the kickoff.

He was drafted tol take the top off defendes to allow JB to find other receivers.

He's failed miserably due to his immaturity to date

 I don't trust him .

Jameis Winston and Jerry Jeudy had Burrow/Chase like numbers. Winston threw for  a team record 497 yards. Jeudy had like 265 yards receiving.

Browns lose 41-32.

(Winston also threw 2 pick sixes.)

That was a fun game to watch. Winston sort of reminds me of Brett Favre. Gunslinger mentality and an interception machine.

Myles Garrett was grabbing his hamstring there toward the end, while Ward was taken to the locker room and Delpit was taken out of the game for a possible concussion, all of which of course will be a huge break for Pittsburgh next Sunday. (couldn't find a barfing emoji)

Winston has intrigued e since he was drafted 10 yrs ago.

He has had much talent as any QB .

His energy and team leader are outstanding.

His arm to at the top as well.

His TD-Int ratio is his downfall.

Tonite was the best example of all the traits

above.

They showed a graphic that said Winston has 14 pick sixes going back to his rookie year of 2015. That’s the most in the NFL in that time span.

Very kind of you, SB! Unfortunately, it only shows up as a small, blank square for me. I guess that explains why I couldn't find it.

Yeah, one year he had more than 5000 passing yards and 30 TDs. But he also had 30 INTs that season.

My cousin’s close friend works for the Saints. Not a coach or anything like that but involved enough to know a lot about the players.

Winston is a tremendous athlete.  Players liked him. Genuinely a good dude.

He has 2 major flaws.  The first one is he can’t throw the ball until a receiver is well out of his break.  He can’t look up, see the defensive set up and anticipate which of his receivers will be open, he has to see them break first. Unfortunately, you can’t give an NFL cornerback an extra second to recover to a play.

Second is he gets tunnel vision. His peripheral vision is terrible.  His depth of vision is terrible.  It’s like he focuses so hard on his receiver he can’t see the defender a few feet away.  I know he got lassik to fix this in 2020 but…

He is very similar to Favre in this regard.  Gets away with it a lot because of arm strength but not enough to be a viable long term starter given his other issue.

That would explain his game-ending INT in the end zone vs Denver on Monday where it looked like he just didn't see the Broncos defender standing between him and his intended receiver.

Very interesting. I guess that is why he also throws so many pick sixes lol.

I think if I am the Browns, i would shit-can the rub-n-tug and keep Winston for now. 2025 is a weak QB class so cant really do anything in the draft for the future unless you picked someone in round 2. With a good D and a good run game, Winston could at least be an OK guy?

But, the Browns' defense hasn't been nearly as dominant as they were last year, and Chubb has not returned to form from his injury yet, and their OL has been decimated by injuries, so I'm not sure Winston would be an OK replacement, even for next year. There's also no guarantee that Watson will be ready to go at the beginning of next season.

Honestly, they should really consider just drafting a QB if one is there for them and eating the Watson contract, the dude is never going to be the QB he was in Houston.

They are going to eat the Watson contract but can't do it next year. He gets 46 mil in actual money the next couple of years but they've deferred a good bit of what he's already been paid. Cutting him next year, even with a post June 1 designation, would cost them more than 100 mil in cap space. Can't do it. They can't cut him until 2026.

Did the Lions just beat Green Bay with both their starting DT's out and something like 6-8 other defensive linemen on IR?

Tell me why they're making plays to clinch their division while we make excuses

I think it's 13 defensive players on IR.  Coaching matters.

That's almost equal to their win total!  Don't they know that drafting is hard?

The CFT are total shit.

Jameis Winston plays backyard football

Can't get out of his own way.

Too many times he's trying for chunk yardage instead of taking what's given him.

Browns may draft a QB with the mess they havevin that room.
