For Columbus folks:

Columbus Bengal Nation ended its meeting place at Pub in Gahanna.

Will have to confirm: but A Bar will likely be the new place. I will be going to this on Sunday and get full confirmation.

Last Bengals preseason game on Amazon Prime ...

Is it just me, or is that an underwhelming list of matchups? I mean, no preseason game is going to be exciting, but those all seem especially boring.

Likely…but the Tiger won 18 games in 2.5 seasons, and would have been in the playoffs twice if playing under today’s format.

Not that he should be on any list, but he wasn’t Dave Shula either

Oh, Tiger did fine in 1976 and 1977. That 1976 team started 9-2 and went 10-2 against all teams not based out of Pittsburgh. The '77 team was good but played a pretty tough schedule. But the wheels came off in 1978 when the team started 1-12.

I just can't help but think that the Bengals would have won at least one Super Bowl (or more) in the 80s if Walsh had been the head coach.

Eras cannot be reconciled that simply. How well would US Grant have been against Abrams tanks? Eisenhower against cruise missiles?

The modern athlete has been bred into the modern game. The past greats were made for the time and game they played in. 50 years from now, LeBron might be considered a middling player—based on the game in that era.

Perfectly said.

Eh, I think the O-line did their jobs on that play. Nobody got beat off the snap.

Exactly.

Burrow in the shotgun against a great defense...11 personnel spread formation...no inline TE...he looks right...he looks left...the ball should be out by now...yet no one is open.

The ball is supposed to come out fast in this spread formation, but the receivers are covered well. So how can the pocket finally collapsing be the o-line's fault after having given Burrow time to read the entire field?

Let me know what you find out. I can’t make this gathering. Pickerington is a long drive. I wish it was closer.

Your right..

Hopefully with Chase Burton and Gesicki that won't arise as much this year.

One of the best plays last season ...

Watch again only this time watch 67 Cordell Volson.

Orland Brown Jr. beaten badly on the outside rush and Cappa almost pushed into Joe in the backfield.

Undoubtedly, someone will find reason to bash but...
