ROBERTSON BLAMES HURRICANE ON CHOICE OF ELLEN DEGENERES TO HOST EMMYS
Lesbian is New Orleans native

Hollywood – Pat Robertson on Sunday said that Hurricane Katrina was God’s way of expressing its anger at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its selection of Ellen Degeneres to host this year’s Emmy Awards. “By choosing an avowed lesbian for this national event, these Hollywood elites have clearly invited God’s wrath,” Robertson said on “The 700 Club” on Sunday. “Is it any surprise that the Almighty chose to strike at Miss Degeneres’ hometown?”

Robertson also noted that the last time Degeneres hosted the Emmys, in 2001, the September 11 terrorism attacks took place shortly before the ceremony.

“This is the second time in a row that God has invoked a disaster shortly before lesbian Ellen Degeneres hosted the Emmy Awards,” Robertson explained to his approximately one million viewers. “America is waiting for her to apologize for the death and destruction that her sexual deviance has brought onto this great nation.”

Robertson added that other tragedies of the past several years can be linked to Degeneres’ growing national prominence. September, 2003, for example, is both the month that her talk show debuted and when insurgents first gained a foothold in Iraq following the successful March invasion. “Now we know why things took a turn for the worse,” he explained.

In order to avoid further tragedy, Robertson called not only for the Television Academy to find a new heterosexual host, but to bar all homosexuals and bisexuals from taking part in the ceremony.

He said employees at the Christian Broadcasting Network had put together a list of 283 nominees, presenters, and invited guests at the Emmys known to be of sexually deviant persuasions.

“God already allows one awards show to promote the homosexual agenda,” Robertson declared. “But clearly He will not tolerate such sinful behavior to spread beyond the Tonys.”

Pat is a Republican right-wing religious zealot that has "IT" all figured out. I'll bet if Pat checked it all out,Ellen was conceived in N. Carolina. Thus God sent Hurricane Ophelia to punish her . I'll bet Ellen feels real guilty that God went after her hometown like that and now N. Carolina.
It's all her fault. Put down the crack pipe Pat and breathe right.
Sad thing is that he's not alone in this way of thinking.
God punished others so Ellen, gays and Pat's sheep would have to think about it-very logical. I understand now.
Pat,a real man of the cloth.

And #22-I likes lookin' at her,doing a handstand-that's nice.

He's fucking nuts. In an unrelated, yet ironically similar story, countless people blame Bush and republicans for virtually EVERYTHING....

Film at 11...

so you don't believe, so that gives you the right to make fun of those that do... God is whatever you want him/her/it to be... i personally don't see God as someone in heavan that is sitting at his throne, moving chess pieces around... maybe you need to figure out these religious people, before making fun of them... God doesn't even have to be human, it can possessions... do you worship money?? that can be a God... do you have a problem w/ woman and sex?? that can also be a God imo... maybe people like the ones your making fun of, had some of these problems, but instead of worshipping money or sex, they decided to worship a "made up" God in the bible...

and i'm not talking about pat robertson w/ this comment... he sucks...
Pat Robertson says Bush told him there would be no casualties in Iraq war
DOUGLASS K. DANIEL, Associated Press Writer
October 20, 2004

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says he warned President Bush before U.S. troops invaded Iraq that the United States would sustain casualties but that Bush responded, "Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties."

White House and campaign advisers denied Bush made the comment, with adviser Karen Hughes saying, "I don't believe that happened. He must have misunderstood or misheard it."

Robertson's comments came to light on a day when Bush portrayed himself as an aggressive leader who understands the costs of the war on terrorism, while depicting opponent John Kerry as out of touch about the risks.

"The next commander in chief must lead us to victory in this war and you cannot win a war when you don't believe you're fighting one," Bush told hundreds of supporters in a farming community in Iowa, where he and Kerry are in a close race.

Robertson, in an interview with CNN that aired Tuesday night, said God had told him the war would be messy and a disaster. When he met with Bush in Nashville, Tenn., before the war Bush did not listen to his advice, Robertson said, and believed Saddam Hussein was an evil tyrant who needed to be removed.

"He was just sitting there, like, 'I'm on top of the world,' and I warned him about this war," Robertson said.

"I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, 'Mr. President, you better prepare the American people for casualties.' 'Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties.' 'Well,' I said, 'it's the way it's going to be.' And so, it was messy. The Lord told me it was going to be, A, a disaster and, B, messy."

Traveling with Bush in the Midwest, Hughes said political adviser Karl Rove was in the Feb. 10, 2003, meeting with the president and Robertson in Nashville, but Bush never said there wouldn't be casualties in Iraq.

"Obviously, we already had casualties in Afghanistan at the time. If you look at that, that (the comment) was not consistent with what was going on," she said.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said, "Of course, the president never made such a comment."

Robertson released a statement about Bush late Wednesday in which he said, "I emphatically stated that I believe 'the blessing of heaven is upon him' and I am persuaded that he will win this election and prevail on the war against terror in order to keep America safe from her avowed enemies."

Earlier in the day, Mike McCurry, adviser to the Kerry campaign, said: "We believe President Bush should get the benefit of the doubt here, but he needs to come forward and answer a very simple question -- was Pat Robertson telling the truth when he said he didn't think there'd be any casualties or is Pat Robertson lying?"

Robertson, the founder of the Christian Coalition and a candidate for the Republican nomination for president in 1988, said he supports Bush's re-election and believes the president is blessed by God.

"I think God's blessing him, and I think it's one of those things that, even if he stumbles and messes up -- and he's had his share of goofs and gaffes -- I just think God's blessing is on him," Robertson said. "And you remember, I think the Chinese used to say, you know, it's the blessing of heaven on the emperor. And I think the blessing of heaven is on Bush. It's just the way it is."

In January, Robertson told viewers during his "700 Club" television program that God had told him Bush would win re-election in a blowout." In the CNN interview, Robertson said he believes Bush will win by a "razor-thin" margin but by a substantial Electoral College victory.
Pat Robertson to Bush: Don't Touch Jerusalem:

"The President has backed away from [the road map], but if he were to touch Jerusalem, he'd lose all Evangelical support, Evangelicals would form a third party because, though people don't know about Gaza, Jerusalem is an entirely different matter. ... A Palestinian state with full sovereignty would be a launching ground for various types of weapons, including weapons of mass destruction"

"I see the rise of Islam to destroy Israel and take the land from the Jews and give East Jerusalem to [Palestinian Authority Chairman] Yasser Arafat. I see that as Satan's plan to prevent the return of Jesus Christ the Lord, their hopes to include Israeli-controlled land in a Palestinian state are part of Satan's plan."

"I send notice to Osama bin Laden, Arafat and Palestinian militant groups that you will not frustrate God's plan to have Jews rule the Holy Land until the Second Coming of Jesus. Only God should decide if Israel should relinquish control of the lands it captured in the 1967 war, including the Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem, God says, 'I'm going to judge those who carve up the West Bank and Gaza Strip, It's my land and keep your hands off it.'" This link doesn't even prove that it wasn't said.... the only proof they use is the fact that they make a joke that they were founded in Rome..... we know he says stupid shit all the time.... like that he steared a hurricane towards a gay night club etc.... so you are going to need more than this to prove he didn't say it. Also who made Snopes some kind of authority ? Who the fuck do they work for? what is their agenda? I am sure you think they are entirely objective ?
