That's the important report date here, not the one next week for the vets. The two 1st rounders for the Bears both signed the day their rookies were supposed to report...not a coincidence. So I'll go way out on a skinny limb and predict Mims signs somewhere between tomorrow evening and Saturday morning. If that doesn't happen, then it is a problem. Mims took far less college snaps than any 1st rounder in this year's draft, probably took fewer snaps than any 1st rounder in several years. It's why he was still available at pick 18. He needs every bit of coaching and practice reps he can possibly get this summer. Any day he isn't available is at least a bit of a setback for both Mims and the team. The Vikings rookies aren't scheduled to report until Sunday so I'm going to be pissed if Mims doesn't sign before McCarthy and Dallas Turner. Need to get him signed in the next couple of days. Report

The rookies will report on Saturday, as will all of the QBs (including Burrow) as well as injured vets like Tycen Anderson and DJ Ivey. It will mostly be meetings, medical evals and closed practices before the healthy vets report on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's first TC practice. I don't believe there will be any media presence at practices before next week. Report

July 19, 20241 yr comment_1753637 The guy has been at every off-season camp since being drafted. Every one. He’s worked with first team quite a bit. Since the first few days of TC are basically “Hello my name is…” and reviews of what they have already gone over, the concerns that this wunderkind might “get behind”, are a bit overstated. Of course, if he has to play sometime this year, one can all but guarantee that his first false start or hold will be blamed on “missing those critical practices in late July”. Report
