2024 Bengals Training Camp

Recommended Posts

There was a very tentative plan to play Burrow and the offensive starters at least some in the preseason last year, but Burrow's injury on the second day of training camp changed all of that for everyone. It sounds like the plan is to ramp Burrow up slowly in the first two weeks, but maybe have him play at least a little on August 10th against Tampa Bay. That is only about two and a half weeks from now, but that will be very different than what we've been used to in the Burrow era. There are joint practices two days before the preseason game at Chicago and then again against the Colts in the final exhibition. Not sure how much that will affect things.

Hard to believe that Burrow has had only 3 preseason snaps in 4 seasons in the NFL and has yet to complete a pass. By comparison Mahomes, Allen, Purdy and Tua had between 26-30 exhibition games snaps last year. That seems to be the norm. Could Burrow get 25 snaps in preseason games this year? I don't know, but it is clear that Taylor is sick of getting off to slow starts every season.

Could this injury list simply be about TBrown being extremely overweight at this time?

Don't believe me now but I had wondered if this would happen. He's played a full season what, twice in his entire career?

Starting to suspect he's just the next in a growing line of aging vet OTs here to cheerlead and kick it on a golf cart.

Get ready Mimms we will need you rookie

I'm sure they know Brown could go down anytime.

Mims may be the savior even with little experience.

They should have had a weight clause in his contract.
