|BlackJesus|
^ During the Pats dynasty Brady years they would often go winless every preseason. Because it means nothing. Only the Ravens used to care about pre season records, to the point they would even sacrifice injured starters every year to stay undefeated. An idiotic triumph.

He's a project. They have no choice but to live with his growing pains this year. He's not the best QB on their roster in 2024. I also don't like what I'm seeing from him on the sideline. Must he eat a snack during the second half? He can't wait until after the game to munch on oranges? Why isn't he standing next to coaches with a wire in his ear when he's not playing? Given how green he is, he ought to be totally engaged in the game. I think he's not going to look good this year but the question is, how long will the Colts be patient with him? I think they have to accept that he'll suck this year
Sea Ray
Our Bengals played a lot of extra players last night and I did not see many keepers. I have no interest in seeing either QB in a real Bengals game. Obviously Newton and Burton are keepers. I thought Harper looked pretty good on defense but that's about it If the KO team doesn't improve in the real season I'd say let's just have McPherson kick it into the end zone every time and we'll live with the opponent starting at the 30. Not good

He's the epitome of why scouts should not just fall in love with a big arm, size, and athleticism at the QB position. (Jamarcus Russell anyone?) His accuracy has always been way off, so who cares if he can sling a perfect spiral 80 yards, but nowhere near the guy he's throwing to. He doesn't process the field at all, and that's hard to fix without years of experience and study. Their best option is to turn him into a glorified RB and do alot of called runs, RPO, and screens and hope he doesn't get injured since he's built like a LB. 1

With the way games are being called they should be able to win with that formula, at least inside their division.
KA14_HOF
I hadn't really watched much of Richardson until last night, and what jumped out at me was his footwork Seemed terrible. Not quite Hal Morris in the batter's box/squirrel-on-a-freeway stuff. But he seemed to always throw off his front foot while swiping his back foot behind him, which is not good. Very underwhelming. Made me all the more grateful to have Burrow.
|BlackJesus|
^ The Bengals defenders CTB and Stone both could see in the shared practice that Richardson isn't a QB (for all intents and purposes). And they would know. Colts management will of course hang on to their (top 5 pick) mistake for a few years like the 49ers did Trey Lance or the Jets with Zack Wilson, but ultimately, this project is likely going to flop and get them all fired. Especially as the rest of their roster is solid. The Colts would easily be a playoff team if Minshew returned.
|BlackJesus|
^ Richardson ran a 4.4 and has a 40 inch vert at 250 lbs, so it's a shame they would never try him at another position (TE?) With his athleticism there's something he could possibly do other than misinterpret the field and throw to the wrong guy.

Million dollar QBs probably get an IV

However, he wasn't the only one snacking on the sidelines...they showed Flacco and others eating in the 2nd half too. WTF? Is this the NFL? I almost expected a hot dog vendor to be roaming the Colts sidelines at some point. In contrast, I really liked how Burrow stressed the importance of the game and supporting his teammates in what could end up being some guys "Super Bowl" equivalent. He was also genuinely excited about Blazek's forced fumble during the interview...he was obviously tuned into the game even during an interview. 1

Unless he's a diabetic, I don't see the urgency

I actually think it's a good idea to make sure you're fueling yourself with sugar immediately after workout, in their case throughout the game.
