It was understandable in week 2 and kind of dumb for people to be calling to use him more at that point, but we're half way through the season now, he should have a larger route tree. Is it bad coaching or is he stupid?

It runs it well though that at least he is a decoy? Maybe give him one new route each week?

The Bengals need to find an identity on offense. And that comes with getting your core guys involved.

This is a simple frikkin' game. You run the ball so that they have to play close to the line, you pass the ball so they can't play too close to the line. And with NFL rules, WR's have stupid advantage. A dude like Chase is stronger, faster, and taller than even the top CB's in the league, and the rules book is designed to give him every advantage.

You can argue that these little dink and dunk screens are "getting the ball in the hands of your playmaker"... But this is Joe Burrow and Chase! Find a more creative way to get him past the first level of the D when he catches the ball. Make the D box him in and then hit the guys running free. At that point, any dude with solid hands is fine. (See any bengals TE from the last 4 years)

Burton could learn to levitate... Zac Taylor would see this as an exciting new way to run 3 yard screens from an empty set.

Burton seems to run only one route. That's a problem at this point.

Is that what he did in college run one type of route?  I think he can run other types of routes just has to be given opportunity.

Don't understand these numbers for BJ ... And even Trey

It's a testament to the fact that they didn't play badly... The scheme sucked. Joe Burrow did a great job of running the Offense Zac called. Zac called an Offense that only scored 17 points. Lou called a Defense that gave up 37 points. BJ Hill executed that gameplan to the letter.

You can't make "The Wire" with the script from "The Naked Gun".

I think I covered this in the other post. He can do it, he has not shown the ability to do it in this offense.

We have nobody at the 3 spot that has shown consistency. Why if he can do this, has he not supplanted Yoshi? And don't give me Taylor is loyal to Yoshi, Taylor has shown to play the best players and cut guys who have not preformed. Something must be going on with this kid.

…so we avoid a big drop off when Murphy comes in for Hubbard. 🥷

Now that's the sort of positivity this team rewards.  Let's you make you Bengals Vice President of TikTok!

I watched this 3 times, and laughed harder each time. I think there's something wrong with me.

I could definitely relate, though.
