|BlackJesus| Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 This is very eye-opening and concerning. A must watch. 1 2 Quote
|BlackJesus| Posted October 29 Author Report Posted October 29 This shows that although Mike Brown is old school, he at least does have some of those notions of 'honor' and honesty still. What is troubling is that it seems it is Katie and her husband who are the cutthroat corporate world people who do not value things like loyalty. It makes one rethink this entire "things will be better once Mike is gone" narrative, as maybe it could be worse and he is actually the one still "doing right" by people. 3 1 Quote
UncleEarl Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 It's just lipstick on the same pig. Burrow, Chase and Higgins are the lipstick. It's a shame. 1 Quote

Another part of that is, for better or worse, Mike can say no to them. Once he's gone they'll likely be surrounded by sycophants entirely. 1 Quote
LostInDaJungle Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 The Chiefs just made an in season trade to bolster their pass rush. Katie just went to Kroger because Tuesdays are double-coupon days. 3 2 Quote

Jamie_B Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 I hope Joe realizes the power he has and demands they make some structural changes. He doesn't have to do what Carson did, but he should make it clear the current business model is unacceptable. In fact due to him being from Ohio and having that Ohio fan loyalty, I think he could have more sway than what Carson would have had. 4 Quote

What player ever swayed the team into another direction than their own? They'll do it their way as Allways. 1 Quote

I hope he can use his power and swat The Powers That Be into making a freakin' trade for a defensive lineman before Tuesday. I also hope the Bengals win by 8 Sunday ... 1 Quote
Inigo Montoya Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 Only positive thing about Whit leaving was that it eventually ended up with the Bengals landing Burrow. The team nosedived after he left and it’s doubtful that they would have had the worst record in the league in 2019 with Whit still playing LT. Everything else from how he was treated to the plan to replace him was a complete disaster. 1 1 Quote

People were somewhat sympathetic to his complaints but Joe could just about bury them. They'd lose the fans completely. Quote
sparky151 Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 Eh, I wouldn't mind some more cutthroat corporate types if it meant accountability rather than coasting. Quote
MichaelWeston Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 I dont see the big deal here. We thought we had Whits replacement. Whit was old. It proved to be a bad move. But those are made all the time. 1 Quote

They then struggled to find his replacement, both in the draft and in FA. 1 Quote
