Bates is one guy.  They can't tackle and they can't cover, as a unit.  Couple dudes that might make a play but as a team defense... Oof.

To me this is the "real" problem, different rules for stars vs everyone else.  It's fair to argue "that's just modern sports" but when it's so glaring and not managed well it snowballs into a serious locker room chemistry problem IMO.
