I don't want to steal any of Homer's comments (if he makes a post election post).  That said - there is one thing he said to me that sticks out in a very tangential way. "the common people have lost and the oligarchs have won. What else is new?"

 

In my neck of the woods housing/homelessness/etc. was a hot topic during the senate race.  Unfortunately Montana voted at Senator that very much wants to privatize private lands. 

 

 

Mass deportation is only going to exacerbate the issue here.

It's the "denaturalization" stuff that's going to get really ugly, if it goes beyond talk. The idea of revoking citizenship... Based on what criteria, I wonder?

I would imagine that if this is going to occur, they’ll go after illegal aliens first, then go after those who are here with temporary visas and/or temporary protected status or student visas. If they start going after green card holders and/or naturalized citizens, that may wipe out a lot of the medical field and high tech workforce. Also, is Trump going to include his wife and her family in this sweep? 🤔

Think we all know the answer to that last question, though 1/3rd of us won't admit it.

By the way in 2022 undocumented workers brought in 96 billion in taxes for the economy and they can't get benefits from that because they aren't citizens so your looking at potentially losing 96 billion from the economy.....and that's just in tax revenues
