August 14, 2025Aug 14 comment_1800855 Sooooo.... whatya bet the Bengals are watching the waiver wiresfor a late cut by some team or someone trying to sneak someoneunder the waiver wire to put on the practice squad?Yeah, "just one game" but out defensive backfield lookedlike a Chinese fire drill and more holes than a pound of Swiss cheese.Dax Hill is more hype than help andthen there's Cam Taylor-Whiff. He absolutely has CB1 talent, but he has never been consistent. Part of it has been injuries, but definitely not all of the inconsistency. He's in the final year of his rookie contract, but could set himself for a big payday if he plays in the regular season the way he has in practice. CTB just seems reinvigorated since Al Golden took over the defense. Report

But they also played some isht QBs. That said, IF he can be consistent, he can be a really fine starter. Given he’s coming off of a bad injury, I don’t expect Dex to kill it from the jump, but I do expect him to be a competent starter. As for the others, not sure. Turner has talent but other than flashes, we haven’t seen it. He played his best game last year before he got hurt..As for the others, hard to say. Like Turner, they’ve been very mixed… challenge will be to find roles for them. I think Fig is a better fit in the slot, and Ivey seems to be solid at covering TEs. Wilson surprised me… he played pretty well down the stretch. And from what I’ve heard and read, Lux is a guy who’s impressed and is likely a PS guy. Guess we’ll see. Report

Nahhh. They don't seem too pressed & then whoever would have to clear the first half of the teams to claim him.For a while there it seemed like the Bengals were the ones having guys poached off the PS. Sign of a good roster I suppose. Report
