Bengals receiver Jermaine Burton’s rookie season has come to an early end.

Cincinnati announced Burton will not travel to Pittsburgh and has been downgraded to out for the Week 18 matchup due to a coach’s decision.

Burton, a third-round pick in the 2024 draft, was inactive for a game earlier this season after missing a walk-through. He’s caught just four passes for 107 yards in 14 games this season, playing 131 offensive snaps and 37 special teams snaps.

But he hasn’t received a target since the Nov. 17 loss to the Chargers.

The Bengals need to win on Saturday night and have the Broncos and Dolphins lose on Sunday to clinch the final AFC playoff spot.

It's a good thing we didn't have any other needs when we drafted him.

:ninja:

Normally, I'd love to see the footage inside our Draft war room when we officially make a selection.

In this case, I'd be morbidly curious to see the footage inside Bwaldimore's & Pittsburgh's when we picked Burton just to see if they were high-fiving or rolling on the floor laughing.

The smash-the-female-fan-on-the-field should have been, at the very least, made for a very long analysis of this guy’s brain.

But TJ said “he’s cool”…so no problemo. He evidently goes through periods of obedience, so the toss at the dart board is murkier.

He’s got a seriously long climb out of this year, in order to even be of consideration for next season.

The TJ thing was always funny to me because he was mentoring him already and he was still a fuckup. So it wasn't helping.

18 weeks into the season and he still can’t figure it out.  Goodbye.

Pac Man Jones didn't know how to put gas in his own car... He never got evicted.

Vontaze Burfict - Never evicted.

You have got to be a special kind of stupid to be a Millionaire who gets evicted. This is what a University of Georgia education will get you.

SMH. 🤦‍♀️

Million dollar talent, .10 brain.

In case you were wondering...the rents in that building are $1500 to $3000.  What's his weekly paycheck?

Has he ever been definitively pegged a Coaches, FO, or Ownership pick? If he was an ownership pick and Zac reacted with the kind of glee he did when they put in the card for him, I'd be even more concerned than I already am, which is extremely.
