I like all the Bengals moves so far, except perhaps the BJ Hill one which I think was a slight overpay and too long for his age at 3 years. 

I do like getting some of these guys on 2 year deals rather than 1 year deals which I hate. 

 

1 year deals only hurt the team, as if they blossom you lose them the next year when you can't pay them.

Burks at 6'3 233 lbs has decent size and athleticism. He's 29, but here were his combine measurables back when drafted ... Almost 40 inch vert, 4.6 40, great broad jump.

I like the Burks signing. He was mostly a special teamer with the Eagles but stepped up when Dean got hurt.

 

Liscow was estimating Bengals are about 25 mil under the cap at the moment. But can still easily create more space if needed.

 

We still need two starting caliber guards. It's not a great draft for IOL so we can't really count on getting one who can start game 1. The good news is we can still get a couple of journeymen for probably not more than 15 mil for the pair.

 

Burks is a replacement for ADG and probably not expected to be a starter, replacing Pratt.

 

I like the Slaton signing more than the Hill re-signing. Would rather have used the 11 mil per we gave BJ for paying Onwuzurike, even if his price is close to 20. So far we haven't improved our pass rush at all. Maybe we sign Young or Fowler tomorrow. We'll probably use a day 1 or 2 pick at edge or 3T.

Moving Tee and Hendrickson for rounds 1-2 or a package deal, IDK, I think I might be OK with that.  They can't be operating from a standpoint of "no, we'll just draft busts with those picks".  If that's true, fix that first and then go sign their '25-26 roster.  There's no working around it.

 

 

I am sure they have loads of confidence. I do not however. Either pay for more scouts or look to add more picks each year .
