sparky151 Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Yes, Slaton was a much better signing than Hill, Ossai, or Sample. 2 Quote
dex Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Every single FA signing this week has either been a player that was on the team last season, a player (Perine) who played for Cincinnati in the recent past, or players (Slaton/Burks) that worked with a new Bengals position coach previously in the NFL. Quote
sparky151 Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Yeah, it sort of shows how limited the Bengals pro personnel department is. Apparently they don't have someone to grade every player on every play on other teams. They could use PFF or ESPN advanced stats as a bare minimum. What they proclaimed as the most important offseason in team history has been a flop thus far. At most, we've upgraded the NT position despite entering free agency with 40 mil in cap space. Otherwise we are just paying the same guys more money and hoping for better results. That isn't a recipe for success.  2 Quote
