Of those 3, I'd prefer Nolen, Pearce, and Green in that order. My concern about Green isn't the SA stuff, but hand size and level of competition. He's getting a lot of mileage from beating Josh Fryar (who will go undrafted) a couple of times.

I would go Nolen first but I think I’d take Green second. He looked impressive in the Sr. Bowl against better completion… and he did play at UVA before Marshall.

All good players - I’d take any of them.

Duke's recent comments about needing the traits to play in the NFL and not necessarily needing college production makes me think the Bengals are high on the "ideal trait guys" (Mykel Williams & Shemar Stewart).

Me the day before the draft  ^

He was my puke pick so I guess I win something.

I think many were skeptical. But if you haven't watched it yet, look at the 13 minute clip of Chris Simms I put in his draft thread. It's hard not to be excited after watching ...

…and then read this (so that you can experience the total rollercoaster effect):

I’m still not sure how to feel about this.

This makes me think they would have taken Stewart even with Nolen on the board and Mike Green was never an option.

For Bengals fans who fear repeating the past with this pick, at least those flags aren't ones you have to worry about.

I don’t think you can criticize Stewart for character, effort, etc.  By all accounts, he was loved at A&M and did the right things.  The on field stuff is fair game, though.

Yeah, nobody is saying he's a bad kid or a slacker. But after 3 years in a top college program, he still hasn't been able to convert his physical gifts into good overall play.

That's what makes him a reach.

Going to give him a little more slack: most of his games were against SEC competition. That is high cotton

Yes, but his sole sack last season was vs Bowling Green. That's why the coachspeak about how hard he worked on Sundays watching film and improving seems like obvious balderdash.

No such thing as a “puke pick”. After any Player X is taken…they will be immediately hailed as the “perfect choice”…”steal”… or whatever other superlative available.

Change my mind

shiiiit its like youre new here... everyone sucks, everyone was a reach, tobin is already fired to some..
