Insane take.  There are literally hundreds of players with “physical gifts “ who fail.  He played with talent around him and yet barely showed up in the box score.

And there are hundreds of players with big stats that fail in the NFL. Only time will tell on every single draft pick, anything else is just a guess.

Someone with Stewart’s level of effort typically has passion for the game, which means they’re doing the other things that make them a better player. Add in the elite physical tools and it’s the makings of a special player. I don’t think that’s such an insane take. 

 

And that talent around him as you refer to was in part due to shemar blowing the play up, another player getting the sack/tackle.

Ok assuming everything you say is true.  Again, best we can hope for is he can make things easier for other players but he’ll always give effort.  I might take that.

Mykel Williams was this and the only other guy who was = Stewart. With Mykel gone, that left Stewart as the pick. It's as simple as that.
