From the player's side - he shouldn't sign a deal like that.BTW, the eagles way would be to give him a $45M signing bonus, salaries of $1M and tack 3 void years onto a 3 year contract to spread the hit out across 6 years. Then redo the contract in 3 years to converty the remainder to a bonus and then repeat the process. I'm pretty sure that the NFL owners have been discussing whether or not to stop this tactic as it might be violating the "integrity" of the salary cap. Report
