Posted June 24Jun 24 comment_1798211 Chris RolingBengals WireThe Cincinnati Bengals flopped in key areas on the 2025 NFLPA report card. While some improvements were made compared to the prior year’s report card, alarmingly bad grades in things like treatment of family (4.69 out of 10, F-) continued to stick out. Now, we know a little more about the why behind the grades. One player told ESPN's Sarah Barshop that being unable to meet families indoors after games was a reason for the grade. "Isn't it great that your daughters and your granddaughters are at work with you? And then we have to go in the parking lot to see our family in the rain? Yeah, it sucks," a player told Barshop.Per Barshop, the Bengals added an indoor postgame area last year, but it has yet to make a dent in the grading because it isn't the only major problem. A lack of accommodations for families is a major problem for the Bengals on the report cards, too, and the Bengals are just one of three NFL teams without child care available during games."It's hard for kids to get through a full game," a Bengals player told Bishop. "Obviously, your family wants to come support. My [kids] are old enough to where they think it's cool but it's also like a lot. I think that [child care] could be awesome."The Bengals do have plans in place for childcare in 2025 and have responded to the grades in other areas in recent years, such as upgrading locker rooms. But the fact a family-based front office needs multiple years of failing grades to budge in these areas is outright mind-boggling, especially when players around the league going to free agency now use these report cards in their decision-making processes.https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/06/23/bengals-embarrassing-lag-nflpa-report-cards-biting-them/84322167007/

June 24Jun 24 comment_1798227 Why can't they let the families gather on the indoor basketball court or such? Seems like it would be simple to fix.

June 24Jun 24 comment_1798237 lmao, ive been part of friends and family there MANY times, never once was i in a parking lot, and this was mid 2000's over a few years, been the guests of both players and coaches and other staff before.. never was i in a parking lot.you know what there is tho? limits. so if youre bringing 12 people to the game, they all cant come hang with you, and if you didnt give the passes for your daughters because you gave it to your parents and grandparents and agent and brother and sister... thats on you.if each player and staff could bring 10 people, youre talking 1,000 people to deal with.this stadium was built 30 years ago, sofi can accommodate 5000 guests in its back rooms and dungeons and stuff, also has several media halls for postgame or post show stuff.the space doesnt exist.. youve seen them have to rip out one room or set of offices just to expact weight rooms right? we all have seen the photos.you have all seen within 10 ft of every single side of the stadium is a street used everday right?where we building the room for 800+ friends and family?i think they should have it.. but im not a dumbass and know when the thing was built, the limitations of space AND expansion. just cut ties with cincinnati, move it to kentucky, youll get the funding, pick a field, build it all there. Can it fit where tri county mall is? that space is useless. or stop complaining and be realistic.ALSO, lets not pretend if the bengals hit the city with "hey we need 3 million more to build a special structure to fit into this cramped space so more family members can hang out after the game" the city, EVERYONE OF YOUR IN HERE TALKING SHIT, the city, media, everyone would laugh at how stupid that is.or go take a tour and let me know where you see endless empty space in there that could be used for all these things right now.they can take away fan parking if you want.built it where player parking is, remove the road between the practice fields, move player parking over there?where yall want this to go?again.. they should have these things. but where you gonna put them?
June 24Jun 24 comment_1798239 Most professional teams have a green room for families with food and drinks. No, they don't bring everyone who they get tickets in there. It's just families and a random guest here and there. There should be some interior suite or meeting room where they can do this.

June 24Jun 24 comment_1798258 Where Amish and I are in 104, the rows in front of us have lots of player family members in those seats (you can always tell the player, because the family members wear their jersey numbers). TBH…haven’t seen them with any little kids.

It's 30 years old now so they've redone the scoreboards, cell service, weightrooms, etc.

June 25Jun 25 comment_1798290 It does host other events. My brother had his wedding reception there. There are various concerts. Does UC still play big games at Paycor or are all the games at Nippert?

I'm guessing that, as a 60k seat facility & not the offices and meeting rooms, it is essentially vacant 300+ days a year.

Just wondering if my perception is accurate? If so, is there some reason Hamilton County is not using Paycor more? Maybe it's just not as conducive for other events as TQL or just not as new and in vogue.
June 26Jun 26 comment_1798298 the biggest thing i find amazing is, the bengals are supposed to be a family run organization, they should have been doing 1/2 this crap before anyone else.then year after year its listed in the players report card, and this year katie says " if theres a problem all they need to do is come talk to us" and i think its in the report card every year.

The county commissioners office will never get out of it's own way unless it's for approving bike paths in Loveland OH.

Its possible some players are confused, and since they asked for 10 family passes, they just get to ALL wait in the general postgame area not in the room with food and snacks. Been to it. its smaller than most. but even the newest of arenas have "levels" of postgame accommodations, ive sat in the nba backrooms, ive had locker room access as a media member, and seem nfl finals level nba teams have a curtained area in the parking garage area for families to wait after the game, part of this is to discourage large entourages, there can be fights between family members, blaming players after a loss, bitching about not getting the ball even in a win. families and friends are sometimes emotional people. Keeping those groups small and not around is a very good idea. but every team and stadium or arena has place for legit close family after games.

I like those, & make a point of checking them out when I get the opportunity. Planning a trip up to Truckee to hike the decommissioned tunnels from the Transcontinental Railroad. Blasted out of the mountain by mostly Chinese engineers.Check out this washed out old bridge I hiked out to:
