Not saying he is, but they did sign someone else: Lucas Patrick. He was the bargain option.

Not at all, by NFL standards. He's due a tick over vet minimum for someone with his # of years. The only cap hit would be his $200k signing bonus.

Good lord. They work him out, have a good meeting, then let him leave.

He's been playing on one year deals. He's never been highly paid. 3 or 4 mil would get it done and half of that would be offset when we release Volson or Patrick.

Mindboggling. If they thought Rivers performance last night means they don't need Risner, that would be foolish. But they could just cancel the visit in that scenario. Presumably they aren't planning to start Rivers, so they should sign Risner.
