August 19, 2025Aug 19 comment_1801427 So if A, Dalton Riser is all that and a bag of chips, why didn't we sign him earlier?Or someone else? Not knocking the idea if him coming here, just wondering. Also safe to assume Dookie and his three man staffwill be watching the waiver wires up until... whenever. If we cut Patrick, how will it affect our cap numbers?Where is the OG Andy Dalton emoji? He was the bargain option. If we cut Patrick, how will it affect our cap numbers? Not at all, by NFL standards. He's due a tick over vet minimum for someone with his # of years. The only cap hit would be his $200k signing bonus.Where is the OG Andy Dalton emoji? All the OG emojis are gone, as far as I can tell. Report
August 19, 2025Aug 19 comment_1801433 "Stay in touch"??? WTF?!?!?! I'm confused...I guess they only plan on signing him if somebody is injured more long term? So frustrating.Between this and the Trey fiasco (and how close they seemingly are on a deal), I just continue to shake my head.Waiting just makes things more complicated and often more expensive. August 19, 2025Aug 19 comment_1801438 Good lord. They work him out, have a good meeting, then let him leave. He's been playing on one year deals. He's never been highly paid. 3 or 4 mil would get it done and half of that would be offset when we release Volson or Patrick. Mindboggling. If they thought Rivers performance last night means they don't need Risner, that would be foolish. But they could just cancel the visit in that scenario. Presumably they aren't planning to start Rivers, so they should sign Risner. Report
