We like to make fun of the Steelers for being stuck there and not being able to find their next QB, but we are right there with them and unable to get top cheap talent to offset Joe, Jamar, and Tee's contracts.

I agree and see that is exactly what will happen and put them in line to draft the next Reynard Wilson.

Lucky for us they were trying to build the biggest, baddest everything and never gave much thought to how they'd get them to the battlefield. All their so-called superweapons & they didn't have the gas to run them.

We should beat the Cardinals and maybe the Browns to finish with 6 wins or so. That will drop us out of the top 10. We won't have a shot at Reese or Downs or Bain but will be able to draft some good players, if Duke can identify them.

The only surviving running Tiger, Ol' 131, was captured on the desert in North Africa.

Almost new off the boat, got so far and broke down. Abandoned by crew.

Taken by the Brits, repaired and used for publicity purposes.

Now fired up and driven twice a year on Tank Days.

It starred in the movie "Fury" (badass as hell) but was an anachronism because it was its original Desert Tan and

not the gray or camouflage paint jobs of Europe.

Yeah Fury was good. Check out "The Beast" or "Beast of War" from the 80's, it's about a Soviet T-55 in their Afghan War, kind of similar circumstances (cut off behind enemy lines etc). Captures some of that same claustrophobic feeling.

Probably right, especially because the QB class doesn’t look great. But sometimes guys enter that you don’t expect, and guys do slip in the draft, for whatever reason. For example, Downs looks like a no brainer, but he plays a position that doesn’t get a lot of respect. Look at Kyle Hamilton… he looked like a top ten kinda player, and he slid.

Also, I know they have the two rookie LBs, but I really like Sonny Stiles. Every time I see him play, he impresses the hell out of me.

This defense hasnt been the same since Jessie Bates left. We need a guy who is smart and knows where to put people. Everything ive heard about Caleb Downs tells me this is who I want. Especially when I hear how smart he is.

But its December and that very will could change

Downs had a statistically worse season this year than the prior two. And yet…he was much more effective in being everywhere he needed to be.

This could be more attributable to Matt Patricia…dunno

(And there is another issue with any draft pick: their college defensive coaches and their schemes. How does Golden fit them into his?)

Downs is a much better version of Xavier Watts. Downs can play all over the field and is a good tackler.

Not saying you are off-base…but unless he comes aboard with a twin…wouldn’t expect much impact

As of right now with games still to play today and the remainder of the season,

the Bengals would draft 9-10.
