tl;dr: Our seats went from $1750 each (x2 = $3500) to $2100 each (x2 = $4200). That's a 20% increase.

This transformation features:

We sit in Section 104. That's Field Level, Home Side, right on the south goal line (at the Bengals locker room tunnel). Row 14. Our tickets averaged $175 per game this year, they'll now average $210 per game. Seats in other parts of the stadium should see a comparatively similar price bump. Plan accordingly!

(We are uninterested in Club seats - but I'll ask Pumkie to keep me in mind if seats near mine come available, we want to add two seats to our account so the adult children of one of the households we share seats with will stop poaching so many games from us.)

Just found ticket stubs from my last year in Cincy (2001) our season tickets were in Club 3 home side...and it was $99 a game. Just like now...right? 😜

Is your seats inside the club area? The people outside the club area are getting a big jump since they'll have to pay for club access next year.

Come on up to the club area. You can get french fries there. Didn't know the rest of the stadium didn't have fries until last game when someone asked me to get some for them.

Will there be fries or cold cuts?

I used to get in my car and drive up there on limb almost every game day. Get a $10 ticket from a scalper out on the street. Couple of times that $10 ticket got me the 3rd row on the Bengals sideline. I don't even think scalpers exist anymore. They were the best thing for us cheap folks.

Park for free by the Burger King in Covington. Probably can't do that anymore these days because you'll come back to your car and the cats will be gone. Get in an start it up. Sounds like a NASCAR. Oh great.

You were left at the cheaper rate in past hikes or just less of a hit, one section over, im above the cuff and youre below on the price chart.. smart on you...

there at least USED to be french fries.. oddly enough at the concession where ickey woods foundation volunteers over by 116, but i havent purchased anything in the stadium other than bottled water in 3 years.

oddly enough still scalpers. and even more oddly enough theyll have a whole ticketmaster account worth of tickets theyll buy them and sell and mobile transfer on the street corner.. kind of funny.

You're "mid field", while I'm "corner". TBH, we wanted to be closer to the 50 but didn't have account seniority, coming from the nosebleeds at Riverfront.

Looking forward, I'm guessing the per-game prices for our section will look like this:

$150.00 for the 2 preseason games

$200.00 for the 4 shitty teams we play (TBB NOS JAX TEN)

$250.00 for the 3 division teams + the AFC West team we'll be paird with

2 x150 + 4x200 + 4x250 = $2100

This year's prices were:

$131.25 for the 1 preseason game

$166.25 for the 4 shitty teams (JAX NYJ NEP ARI)
$183.75 for the 3 division teams + the shitty local NFC team (CHI)

$218.75 for the 1 premium local NFC team (DET)

1x131.25 + 4x166.25 + 4x183.75 + 1x218.75 = $1750

exactly, thats why i was able to get tickets in Sec 116 the first decade i had them, and then 106 upon my return to having them, as it was the "break" point of more expensive for like 22 feet of distance from the lower price.. so 118 and 104 filled up faster as it was the same spot basically for less cash..

i think my first year, 2003/2004 my tickets were roughly $48 per game.the pair i think were around $800, parking pass was $16/game, i cant recognize where the lot was, i THINK it was paralell to longworth just slightly south..

1 - We're in 104. Moving left by crossing the aisle to 106 to move closer to the 50 puts us on Go's side of the pricing line - he's paying a premium, we're not, the view is essentially the same.

3 - Moving a lot ot the right puts us in the end zone. For some reason (supply/demand?) they pay MORE than we do. Can't figure that one out.

5 - Moving down within 104 may also be difficult since the team reserves a lot of those seats for player families - supply may be constrained.

6 - Movin up within 104 means you're farther from the field.

We're in the sweet spot. And besides, 104 has aisles that lead to different levels of the stadium behind us. The right aisle takes us to the stadium entry/exit, concessions, bathrooms, souvenirs. The left aisle takes us to the field level concessions, bathrooms, and the bar. I suppose there's an equivalent "sweet spot" on the opposite goal line, and two more on the other side of the field (visitor vs home), but without the camera truck OR team family issues. But those seats also bake in direct sunlight during August / September / early October games.

Anyway, the point here is that buying more seats - if they mean giving up our current seats so that we can get a 4- or 6-pack - might be difficult to justify. I'll ask Pumkie to keep me in mind when they go through all of the non-renewals... if we're luck there might be a pair relatively nearby to our existing seats. We might not be able to sit together, but we can waive at each other and meet at the bar during breaks.

For everyone else - if you're NOT a season ticker holder and are on the waiting list, 2026 might be your year. If you ARE a season ticket holder, 2026 might be an upgrade year.

I love 104. Would not wish to be anywhere else

We actually started out in 104 w three tics before moving to the Club with 2.

Same here, if our end seats were across the aisle it would be in a higher tier price

yeah i called, under the guise of "aw shucks just making sure my payments went through i switched my payment method, also why dont they accept AMEX? wtf year is it? ticketmaster does.. my nuggets tickets alo handled by ticketmaster does... wtf... anyway.. and i asked if i could sniff aound whats been cancelled.. they said nothing is canceled or released until march, so those people will have until march to change their minds.. i also want a fucking parking pass

there is something to be said for "YOUR" seats.. i have the two sets.. i borderline REFUSE to sit in the better seats.. 106 is my spot.. celebrated with my son there dozens of games, won first playoff game sitting there, those seats are home.. if i can get 4 together, on an aisle, closer to midfield, id probably let them go.... but i would be sad.

I have always been an aisle person…I have the same habit at theatres, concerts, church and airplanes. I like being able to get up and move at any time.

Way too often—even in these great seats in 104—I feel like I need to apologize to the disturbed people on either side, should I head to the loo or bar. Half of them scowl..few stand up. You have to basically crawl over top of them and their crap on the floor, to get out….all the while pleading for their forgiveness. How tempted I have been over the years to say “this wouldn’t happen in your living room…perhaps you would be happier there?”

I got so used to people crossing in front of me at Riverfront, that it doesn’t bother me at all. Part of the “stadium experience”!

yep, and as a previously incredibly fat man, and just a regular fat man now, (i have lost 20 more lbs since i saw you last) the aisle allows me to not flap onto whoever i am sitting with.

my current aisle is even better, since its the section the curve starts on, there is 1 or 2 less seats so i can stand next to my seat and not be on the stairs. so i never gt hit my the ushers or drinks people or people going up and down the steps... its about as much space as you can humanly get in a stadium i think.

Ironic, considering that you and I were the very same people who made fun of bandwagon Cowboy fans when they showed up at Riverfront.... complaining about the climb.... complaining about the cold..... complaining about the prices..... complaining about the quality of the food and beer.... and of course complaining about how far away the bathrooms were. Constantly complaining about the bathroom distance. Constantly getting up (excuse me pardon me excuse me coming through please excuse me pardon) to drain their walnut-sized bladders.... which is think was the game where we started using that term IIRC.
