The Too Late In The Day Bye Week Games Thread

Jags took the L. It was a Bengals-esque collapse.

And the last Houston score came from… Sheldon Rankins. BTW Chidobe Awuzie is playing pretty well for the Ravens. As is Akeem Davis Gaither, who starts at LB on a solid D in Arizona. Rankins starts on the DL on the number one D in the league. WTF? He looked like isht in Cincinnati but how can guys who wash up here start elsewhere? It’s mystifying.

Three guys who played in Cincinnati, none of whom started consistently in Cincinnati last year. And they are all starting this year for another team, all with better defenses. How the eff does that happen?

They went to teams with standards and expectations based on winning games rather than not making anyone at the top look bad and who smiles the most.

They did…but it was a phantom PI inside the 5 that sealed it for them.

All of those players you mention…are good players and were before. Go figure how they weren’t and now they are.

It goes beyond one man’s trash is another man’s treasure

Seattle is up 35-7 on AZ at the half so may want to pump the brakes on "solid D" 😆

Rhetorical question I presume; this team is clueless.

CFT loses.

Rats win

What else?

I watched the CFT game with the boys. It was nice to see a decent defense for once, but they made a couple of boneheaded mistakes at the end that let the Jets keep the ball to close out the game. Jets scored on a kickoff return and a punt return.

Rankins was sick when he was here Texans also have a good defensive coach in demeco ryans but they still suck

The entire year, including the 5 games he was active midseason?

He had spinal meningitis about mid season

I guess it's not his fault the Bengals had no backup option

So far this SNF does not look like 2 winning teams facing off

Oh, right. Collinsworth. I forgot why I don't watch SNF. Not sure if watching Discount Double-douche crash out can make up for hearing someone audibly sneer.

Yep Seattle popped them pretty good today. But they’ve been pretty stout in some games. They beat up Dallas last week.

It was Walter Nolen’s first game last week and he played great. Today, he was pretty much invisible. Btw, Seattle jas a really nice team. Good skill players, improved OL and a very physical, attacking defense. They’re a team to watch come playoff time. Rams, too. NFC is the stronger conference this year.

No question.

Unrelated but as I watch this I hope the helmets keep getting slightly bigger every year until they look like bobbleheads running around.

The Chargers NT Caldwell was a 3rd round pick. He has over twice as many tackles on the year as Stewart.

Coaching..

We don't have elite coaches.

Barely minimal..

So the Browns special teams are as bad as every unit except Garret and Ward..😎

Yes and Darnol matured into a very good QB.

Mac Jones, Daniel Jonesand Baker Mayfield

have all flourished in time and the right teams..

Sanders looks the part of a DE..

Doesn't play it.

He's overmatched in most games so far.

Really raw at this point.

Aaron Rogers is 8-17 '66 yards and a pick.

with 2:20 in the 3rd..

It's only time before the Ravens surpass them for the division lead..

Bengals could beat them again

regardless of the pitiful defense..

This season has kicked my ass so bad that i didnt even feel like watching football yesterday.

Incredibly…the Bengals are just 2 games out of first in the AFCN…with a game in hand on the Stealers and 2 games left against the Rats.

Dare to dream?

Nor I.

And I didn't.

Although its kind of nice to see this morning

that Aaron Rogers is truly washed.
