November 29Nov 29 comment_1813971 The last few weeks have been interesting.only comment on the offense is Flacco turned into a pumpkin with the shoulder injury sadly. Wise and strong armed is what he brings to the table at this age.. and that was a good fit until he lost one of them.As for the defense. we may never find out what in the living hell Logan wilson was pulling in this locker room.the lack of attention to the events around his departure is a "i feel like im taking crazy pills" moment the past few weeks. and i have dug into the people i know around the team, and NO ONE is saying shit. That really almost never happens. So to recap the events:Golden was his LB coach prior, they liked each otherGolden was the LB coach when he was draftedGolden was his LB coach on the SB run, the best run of logans careerGolden returns as DC, Golden speaks highly of Logan upon return, (not coach speak he did not do so for Pratt, etc)the defense shits its pants and pisses down its leg at the same time every game for like 7 weeks straight.Logan losses snaps, bitches about it publicly IMMEDIATELY (this is out of character for him)Logan gets deactivated, a healthy scratch, a TEAM CAPTAIN.. a healthy scratch, bitching publicly.he comes back, blows coverage on the first play and gets yanked, sits for a series or two, and plays some snaps after..he then gets traded for nothing late pointless pick swapthe bengals trade a team captain, for literally nothing. never happened ever.the bengals not only trade him but agree to PAY HIM some of this and next years salary, also never happened ever.the second he is gone, the defense seems to be playing faster, reacting faster, attitude is up.i think CTB not blowing coverages and roles making the safeties look worse than they are (which they arent great of course) helps too but thats a side note.so....whatthefuckwasup withlogan wilson.... Report
November 29Nov 29 Author comment_1813972 also.i knock the bengals "media" endlessly, and rightfully so.this is where a real media member wouldhave acted on this."hey coach, there have been some changes in personnel on defense, some guys left the team or got hurt, and since then it seems like communication is better and the team is playing faster, what connection do you make there, and whats been the biggest improvement off the field that led to the on the field improvements?"no coach is likely to shit on them directly,, but you WILL 100% get the answer you want...the bengals media coverage is terrible. its literally a bunch of message board guys who tried and fell into roles that needed filled as old media style work vanished.so anyway... this shit is nuts... and everyone is acting like nothing even happened. November 29Nov 29 comment_1813982 Yeah, we were able to run the ball Thursday from shotgun but most of the season the running game was bad from shotgun and much better with the QB under center. Burrow doesn't like lining up under center so that takes away the play-action game. Report

The son-in-law? It's cliche.yeah all media. espn is long gone, they have puppets of former legends squaking nonsense in between 8 minute segments slanging shock jock headlines. then local media, an occasional football lover stumbled into a role, ther eis one independant guy who is solid and one of the network local news sports guys is decent... all the podcast guys are terrible, immature, lack football understanding, lack knowledge, lack life experience, it stinks of cornfield hillbillies who are in awe when they go to a big city, and they spend their time trying to look the part instead of doing any real work or growth in their roles.talking with a friend who ive shared bengals fandome with for 20+ years, how how not only do we not listen to the growler or bengals talk or any other podcast, our lives are better without them. let that sink in... two people who live breath and die for sports.. lives are just better without the terrible podcast about our team...i listen to 3 nuggets podcasts.. there is 1 good one, and two mediocre.. but its content to consume in the car... the bengals equivalents arent even worth wasting time in the car.Lapham is ok sometimes, i still tap in now and again, but substance is usually accidental but its fine.it all falls under the "no one cares about anything" no one loves football anymore.. no one loves sports anymore..my nuggets tickets are 8 rows off the court.. and every single timeout, before the game, after the game, my aisle is clogged with people taking selfies as close to the court as they can get. im not knocking it, but theyll take 10-20 shots, poses, faces, various friends together, etc, then spend most of the game posting those photos, replying to people, posting a clip of the game action.. and not really seeing any basketball happen.... pro sports are a social event for social media, not even for eachother anymore.. its wack33 minutes ago, T-Dub said:Key to the city at this point, whether he stays on the roster or not.lol, i am indeed wacko for flacco these days. I'm not going to be on my feet hollering for 4 hours, I'm going to wander around the stadium at some point. They don't have pinball machines and some fake cheese pump nachos are $20 so yeh I'm probably gonna pull my phone out. The MLB Game Tracker thing is pretty nice, can't really tell a 2-seam from a cutter up in the bleachers yknow, stuff like that. Report

December 1Dec 1 comment_1814060 Flacco seems like a good dude, but he says he wants a chance to play next year. At 41? No shot his body could take it even if someone gave him that chance. His best bet is the Craig Morton/Don Strock role. Play here and there when the starter is injured. Report
Tuesday at 02:58 AM5 days comment_1814082 Yeah, nobody is going to sign Flacco to be their season long starter. He might get a deal from a team that drafts a rookie QB, ie like Cleveland did this year. Report

Friday at 07:24 PM2 days comment_1814232 i dont agree with some points here.i dont see how Flacco turned into a pumpkin, the offense put up enough to win games when he was in. i dont really see much of a difference in the defense with or without Logan Wilson . he may of been a problem , but obviously he wasnt THE problem. everyone shit on Trey for wanting a better deal (i personally believe he was told las year they would do it in the offseason, and it wasnt his fault they dicked around so long the price got stupid, )and once again when he goes down the defense goes to shit. he may of only be a pass rusher as some claimed here , but when he was on the field the other teams has to account for him and it frees up the other 10.doesnt matter the def cord. we just dont cover TEs and RBs, 3rd and 13, hit a te or rb in the middle and watch then get the 1st down. i'd like Flacco to stay as a back up , but i am sure he wants to be a starter , Report
