The only Bengal in their top 100 is Trey and the odds of re-signing him aren't very good. They should be able to sign at least 3 of the top 100 just based on being 1 of 32 teams. Financially they have more space than 84% of other teams. But they also have Mike, Katie, Troy, and Duke making decisions. So if the over/under for top 100 signing by the Bengals is 3.5, I'll take the under.

Neither do the Blackburn's.

I see signing Risner.

Locking up Hill and Turner possibly..

Rely on last year's experience for Knight Fairchild, Strwart and others to improve on..

Hit big with the 10th pick and high graded rds after. .

This is how they believe it to run for a championship this year imo..

A suppose one concern with locking up Hill and Turner is how long and how much effort it seems to take internally to do these size of deals. Like last off season it could once again paralyze the team in terms of other signings.

Murphy rushes..Stewart protects the edge .a disrupter..

I've thought Bengals string players contracts longer to keep their performances at the highest level...

I can see the athletic ability. Unfortunately he doesn't know how to play football. Maybe he'll figure it out in time for his contract year, like Murphy. Boy he really turned it on against Miami and Arizona! That's starter material, 100%, defense is saved.

If Stewart and Murphy are motivated they could surprise.

A motivation test meter should be required every year with AI and all......

Seriously a coach has to find it or knows if it's a problem.

For Murphy it is or was clearly a motivation issue. For Stewart it seems to be a football IQ issue.

You may well be right but that's certainly a recipe for continued failure. "We don't need to replace or upgrade from poor players, they'll magically get better".

Then when it doesn't happen, it's just "bad luck" rather than a poor process. Knight and Carter were by far the worst LB combo in the league last year. They could improve considerably and still be the worst LB combo in the NFL. Let's aim a little higher than last place.

Sure, there will be some change, somewhere. The team will use its draft picks after all. What do you want, them to spend as much as they could to get good players in free agency? Let's be realistic and accept they don't care about winning the Super Bowl. So they won't do what it takes to win one. He might simply retire. Carson didn't get $250M guaranteed. No question Joe wants a ring but IDK how many trips to IR he's got left in him. If he has to spend half his career rehabbing injuries it's going to be a lot shorter than it should've been under better circumstances.
