I saw this too, by the sounds of it Tee for one is preaching "patience" i.e. don't expect an early contract from the Bengals. I'd say for any player, but especially RB's, getting an earlier contract is preferable regardless of whether you might hit the "I just kept getting better" jackpot like Ja'marr and Tee did (which is something Brown directly mentions here... which I wonder whether is him spilling actual arguments that are being used by his agent in favour of an early re-up).
