Chip Kelly was said to be the highest paid OC in the league at $6 mil annually. I thought ZT made more than that. Andy Reid makes 20 mil per.

Last report I saw was Zac at $4.5M.

Some of the big college team coordinators are now over $5M.

But you have to consider costs going up on a number of things.

..and why not grab all the dirty NFL money they can? All they have to do is keep spending a certain fraction of it to appear "competitive". If I sucked at it so bad that people made my team into a punchline, after a decade or two of that I'd probably hire some pros and fuck off to find something I'm actually good at... or fart around adding new wings to local hospitals and libraries if that's too much effort? I'm sure I could find something worthwhile to do with unlimited funds and a sudden surplus of free time, at least as worthwhile as being Shadow GM of a flailing sports franchise.

This helps us if we can get a fast start next season, because as we saw this year with the defense it takes time to learn a new system, and all 3 of those teams are going to be learning new systems likely on both sides of the ball I'm not down on Taylor as much as others, I'm much more down on Duke. But this will be good as we can play fast right away where the other 3 teams wont be able to play fast while learning new systems. We have a leg up on the division already.

Player salaries are very generously capped. Every team has to spend most of it, and no team can go above it. Coach's, etc... Are a completely different budget.

In 2024, Bengals revenue was $573M. $432M of that was revenue sharing. $257M for the salary cap. That's $316M left over after paying players.

Considering the sweetheart stadium deal... The Bengals are far and away the most profitable of the non-cornerstone franchises.
