I think Watson is resigned to never playing again. He signed contract extensions through 2028 with vet minimum base salaries. That helps the Browns out with their cap management but it's safe to say he won't be on their roster then, even for the vet minimum. He most likely has an option to cancel the contract then.

Yes. His second achilles tear was under questionable circumstances and the team cut him a break instead of claiming he breached his contract. He seems to be returning the favor. Once he's free of obligations to the Browns, what team will sign him? 2020 was a long time ago.
