The 2025 conclusion thread of "the most" stats... missed tackles, dropped passes, etc.

just thinking we could have been dead last still and missed like 40 less tackels and been like 11-6 prolly

id like to tsee the game by game and see if that improved..

Most dropepd passes, higher than youd expect but we did have a new QB every 2 games and the WR room had issues especially with flacco early on..

I’m surprised the Browns aren’t higher.

40 more than 2nd worst. That's how they achieved historic levels of suck.

To somehow get worse after 2024, with defense as their focus.. and then act like nothing needs to change, from top to bottom... Absolutely delusional.

It must be like Wonka Land inside PBS.. Got the VP of Fan Restroom Experiences handing out candy canes while the draft team meets around a gingerbread conference table with 9 empty seats. End of the day everyone's clocking out with cotton candy stuck to their shirts and the entire head office staff forms a line for mandatory high-fives before piling into a single '68 VW Bug covered in polka dots.

Well something did change, they changed their defensive scheme. It took half a season before players started to understand it well enough to play fast. Which happened right around the bye week.

What I would be curious about is the rate in missed tackles before and after the bye week.

Let me save you some trouble: they still sucked. The 2025 defense was worse than the 2024 defense. That's kind of incredible.

No, they went from historically bad, to still not good enough.

That's simply not true: they were historically bad this year, after also being historically bad last year. They outdid themselves.

Right and what I am trying to get at is are most of these missed tackles before or after the bye?

I think by the eye test, they got better after the bye, what I am looking for is the actual data to see this.

Most missed tackles before and after Cam Taylor-Swift went on IR?

From what I have read the most misses came from both of our safeties. The question for me is were they missing because the rookie linebackers in front of them were not where they were supposed to be causing Battle and Stone to have to adjust?

So much we really don't know, we just know the results.

Well, this means they were at 109 after the week 9 game. ~12 missed tackles per game. It went down to 8 after the bye. (62 / 8)

The Commanders missed 7.7 tackles per game. So, after the bye we were equal to the worst tackling team.

Be pretty dope if we could drop that 8 per down to 4 per by the start of next season.

How about -0-?

My father (former youth football coach and high school and college player) would be apoplectic at the lack of tackling.

The Jets did not record an interception for the 2025 season.

First time this has ever happened in the modern football era (1933).
