Look, I love Jay Morrison, Jay is a voice for Bengals coverage that i have admired for an incredibly long time.

Jay lost his wife a few weeks ago, a routine medical procedure turned for the worst ( which is how i lost both of my parents so its hitting home for me a little extra).

Jay has stepped away from the sport for a while, but i fdound today there is a gofundme for supporting her celebration of life and all those things associated.

"On December 22, 2025, Nicki Morrison passed away with a final act of donating her organs, leaving this world as a hero.

Since Nicki's husband, Jay, shared the news publicly, dozens of his listeners, readers, followers and friends have reached out to ask what they can do to support him. Was she the breadwinner in their family or something like that? He and his kids certainly deserve our sympathy for losing their wife and mother unexpectedly.

This seems like someone (Mr and Mrs Dehner) taking advantage of their media job to do some digital panhandling. I'm not a fan of this sort of thing.

I tend to agree in certain cases. But in this case, someone is asking you/ us to donate. Someone who provides a platform for us, as Bengal fans. Even told people to stop paying him forever if they could find it in their heart to donate to this special to him cause. Is it special to me? No. Sad, yes. I will give $100 because our guy Go is willing to give up money for the cause. Not just asking people to donate just because. Also, a lot of times, family or friends start a gofundme for someone else. Jay Morrison probably didn`t ask for anything.

To speak more on this would be disrespectful to those involved.

I don’t give away money lightly.

I definitely don’t ask others to give away money lightly.

But what is frustrating here is that this is to help someone. There were really two options.

1. Speak in support or donate.

2. Fucking don’t.

The third option, while revealing, isn’t helpful to anyone.

I don’t really know how to explain one’s need for this response. Everyone can feel how they wish. Like people who put those big green leafs on pizza should be smacked, but I don’t go to Joy Hill pizza and tell them that.

I’ll throw in a $50 spot on your behalf. Just to square things up in the universe.
