Wonder how much it's going to cost us to "renovate" it into a tacky fake-gold covered replica of a Roman brothel...

Dementia-addled pedophile robbing us blind to serve his insatiable ego but it's ok because he's making minorities suffer.

The running joke I've seen is somehow a casino will be involved.

I have lived in the DC area since the 80's, and it is sickening to see what this city has become. One good thing is a damn good transit system (Metro). There are not many cities in the US where one can take mass transit in the form of rail from multiple airports, but DC is one of them.

DC's got a lot more soul than people realize if they never travel much beyond the mall. That collection of free museums & galleries is unparalleled, though. One could easily spend a week exploring a ~2 mile strip. Too bad some people want to erase all the parts that make them uncomfortable. Highly recommend everyone see it while they can.

Have some empanadas from Julia's for me.

I've never heard of that place, but you could name 100 restaurants that I have never heard of either.

The Air and Space got redone recently, and I told myself I couldn't go there until that was done (saw it plenty of times as a kid). I played tourist one day a month (during the week) a few years ago to make up for what my parents missed, and had no trouble getting into any of the tourist things. School groups are always here, but there are "dead" times and I think I found the right ones.

The National Mall is a great place for running/walking exercise. I use it on a regular basis solely for that purpose.

I paid attention to the Kennedy Center a lot to see what was going on, and one thing people didn't may not realize is. Millennium Stage was a free concert most days at 6 PM. Thanks Trump for taking something that locals enjoyed doing.

How 'bout a cheeky Nando's?

About 10 years ago for me, hadn't changed much at all. Naval wing with the carrier deck was cool, they had a loud bosun's whistle in the ambient noise loop they had playing & Pops snapped to attention. 😆 Have you been to Udvar-Hazy down at Dulles? Only air museum I've been to that rivaled the USAF at Wright-Patterson. Still a fraction of the size, Dayton's a must if you're into that sort of thing. Pima in Tucson, if they start running the AMARG graveyard tours again. There's a Titan missile base tour right next door to that one, taken all together as a day trip it's worth mentioning.

The things we're told we can or can't afford lately.. I'll leave it at that.

I've heard of Nando's Peri Peri, there is one down my way. Can't say Ive ever eaten there

I have never heard of this place and they are all over northern VA. There is one near Nats Park as well.

It's just some spicy chicken with a distinct type of chili pepper (peri-peri). If you like Buffalo wings or Nashville-style chicken you'll probably like it, too.
