they are on track to have 6 starters from those drafts on the field so that would match up and probably be tops in the league.. and depending how this draft goes, possible 7 starters from the draft on the field.

I’m curious what everyone would think if they ended up taking Jeremiyah Love @ 10? Seriously doubt it’s a thing but let’s just say…..would people be pissed at getting one of the very best players in the draft?

Personally I absolutely love him as a prospect but hate him as our draft pick…although I seriously doubt it would take folks long to get on board with a guy running thru defenses.

It would open the offense up massively.

Are they going to start calling a balanced offense, draft OL that can run block, force JB to play from under center - particularly in the red zone or short yardage situations?

I don't think they plan to do any of those things so it's no knock on Love to say it'd be a waste of a top 10 pick. TE is off the table but draft a RB 10th overall?

I would agree . We would either underutilize him or just not re-sign Chase Brown and then are we any better off?

Interestingly, if Love goes #4 or earlier, he will be the highest-paid RB in the league ...

That kind of thing really happens every year - whether it’s injury or off -field or whatever… just thought it was interesting to hear re a possible first rounder that has been associated with the Bengals.

Remember, the Chiefs wouldn't be drafting ahead of the Bengals if the Raiders hadn't kicked a last second 60-plus yard FG in the final week. KC was down to their 3rd string QB in that game. That final game might not just hurt the Bengals in the 1st round but all the way through the draft. KC also has plenty of defensive needs.

One thing I want to point out is Al Golden ran ALOT of man to man coverage at ND. It's very possible we take the top CB on the board so he can do that here too. We might be getting pressure on the QB in different ways this season, not necessarily always from the Dline.

A guy I listen to locally that is plugged in (he's a former Packer scout) indicated he's heard from several teams that they were turned off by Bain in interviews. I guess he's had a few off-field things that gave teams pause. Hadn't heard that before - no idea what that is - just sharing what I heard. Maybe it's much ado about nothing, or maybe it's a smokescreen.

Anyway, not surprising that MN likes Thieneman - he's got some Harrison Smith similarities. Honestly I think Tyson is over-hyped. I would take Lemon or Cooper (assuming Tate is gone) ahead of him. And if the Bengals didn't get a CB in round 1 - if he were available - Chris Johnson would be a great get in round 2 (but I doubt he will be).

I swear to God if the Cowboys move ahead of us to get Bain or Downs ....

They might actually move back because after round 1 they don’t pick for quite a while and given they hade a lot of D needs, they may want to accumulate more picks.
