I get that the NFL wants more people to participate , but it looks like on TV that you can’t even see the stage and have to watch it on a monitor. We went the year that Ki-Jana Carter was drafted at the Paramount Theatre in Madison Square Garden and got in the front row. It was great. Plus, who wants to go to Pissburgh anyway? 😂 Report

It was great.Plus, who wants to go to Pissburgh anyway? 😂its a mixed bag..they are doing some camera tricks to blow up the crowd, and flat out lying. radio city held 6-7000 people. which is a good amount. At the same time, having excited fans for each pick is impossible, so people "far away from the stage" can be moving around a bit, like as soon as a teams pick is made, they tend to bounce and go do other draft related things vs stand and stare at the stage for 6 more hours watching other teams picks.so if you want to be close for your team, there is room to do that.in green bay, they were saying 200k+ people were there, and the sky view showed the entire crowd easily would fit into the seats of the football stadium it was next to, so there was probably 50k people there.the greater gren bay area has 6000 hotel rooms. 4 people per room grants you 24,000 people, im sure all the locals went. and few rooms likely had 4 people.. but logically their numbers are bullshit.the fact they are inviting anyone who has gone in modern era for free shows how weak the offering is viewed by fans. and how weak that location destination is.most people dont care to watch the whole draft, theyll be wondering around, drinking, doing the other interactive events, music, nfl displays, player meet and greets, and all that..so youre right, its got too big for the event it is supposed to be... but its also growing into a festial type event more so than a deep dive draft data absorbing event..
