Yesterday I copied-and-pasted this about Cook in another thread. Here it is again:

BRYAN COOK - This past year, however, the Cincinnati alum took things to a completely different level. While Cook failed to record an interception for the first time since his rookie year, he did set new career highs in both total tackles (85) and passes defended (six), also racking up 17 stops and allowing just 21 completions on passes thrown in his direction.

While the 26-year-old certainly isn't the strongest at his position in the pass-rush department, Cook's 80.1 run-defense grade ranked 15th among 98 qualifying safeties, and his 83.2 coverage grade ranked sixth. And from an overall standpoint, his 83.5 mark ranked fourth, trailing only the Jacksonville Jaguars' Antonio Johnson (86.9), the Baltimore Ravens' Kyle Hamilton (85.9), and the Houston Texans' Jalen Pitre (84.4).

Sounds like quite a step up from Geno Stone

For whatever reason whenever I see "PBU" now, all I can hear is Germaine Pratt saying "I don't want no PBU!"

There is no way that Stone or Battle are athletic enough to make this tackle that Cook (#6) did 😎

This is a great signing, provided he keeps playing at his 2025 level. Massive upgrade from Stone.

I hope the Bengals buck their trend of not letting defenders have single digit numbers and give him #6 (Browning won't need it).

A cardboard cutout of this guy might be a step up from Geno Stone.

The last big get we "stole" from KC has been a disappointment but this is a legit, top-tier free agent. I'm not going to say they've fixed the defense until the games start but this is a solid effort & that's all I've been asking for, so.. nice.
