The Patriots have a good defense but man they had a easy path to the Superbowl

beat up Chargers with Justin "Andy Dalton with a big arm" Herbert who cant win a big game

CJ "Interception Machine" Stroud who lost his best WRs

Then a Broncos team that lost their starting QB the week before?

It makes me that much more frustrated by this team that they havent been able to put even a average defense on the field.

100%. At least a playoff run seemed to be possible. The offense had some brain farts but the D could never stop anyone. But key injuries to guys like Mahomes, LJ and Nix made for a likely smoother path through the playoffs.

Jets, Bears, Patriots, Bills, Browns all were very winnable games. ‘Course, one could argue they got lucky vs. Cleveland, Jax, and Pitt.

I still have faith in Knight coming around. Carter.. not so much, he's never looked the part IMO. Limited 3rd down LB, maybe, but haven't seen anything yet. Knight at least looked like he belonged, athletically.

Yeah I saw Carter as more of an ADG type… 3rd down cover LB, good STer. Hope I’m wrong but I did not see him as a starting-quality LB.

That Jets loss was the worst of all of them. That team wasnt good. The Bears we should have won, but at least the Bears were a playoff team.

Totally but to give up a TD with three guys around Loveland… great player, but c’mon. Situational awareness… get deeper and make the effing tackle.

The Jets was "WTF happened?". The Bears was "WTF happened?...Yay Joe2!...WTLF just happened?".

I was actually in NJ visiting a friend on the day we played the Jets. We took her son to a local science museum and there was a guy there that told his kid that if the Jets won he would take them to the toy store to get anything they wanted. I remember thinking poor kid, then found out they won and was like of course they did. ugh
