March 25Mar 25 comment_1823957 Honestly he and Risner were the guys I most wanted to sign. I don't know much about some of the free agents we got from other teams, but I know our guys and they are keepers. If JB goes down (again sadly, but knock on wood it doesn't happen) for any period of time, Joe2.0 is who I'd most want coming off the bench. Report

March 30Mar 30 comment_1824133 I sort of get it…but it isn’t really clear. If Joe2 retires after this coming season…why would there be any “dead cap hit”? 🤔 Report
April 3Apr 3 comment_1824309 I sort of get it…but it isn’t really clear. If Joe2 retires after this coming season…why would there be any “dead cap hit”? 🤔Because unless he repays money from the void years (he won't and shouldn't), the team still has to account for it. They spread his bonuses over 3 seasons but he's only under contract for 1. So after the one year, the remaining bonus goes on the cap.BTW, this is a good signing, along with Risner. Bengals have missed a lot of opportunities in free agency but at least got their 2 most significant free agents to be (after Hendrickson) back under contract. The offense still needs a better starting TE and some depth but it's not the disaster area the defense is. Report
April 4Apr 4 comment_1824361 I am very glad to have Flacco back and i dont care if we pay him 10 mil and we dont need himhe will help the defense in practice having a 2nd quality passer to go against and he should raise the expectation on the 2swhich should point out some of the glaring holes before the season starts. even more so in preseason we wont be hoping the we find the back up quickly to help judge the rest of the #2s and maybe keep the fricking defenses honest and ours off the field Report
