I love the trade but I'm giving it an A- 'cause I would have liked to get a little something more in that trade, like a 5th rd pick or maybe swap another rd with 'em to move up a few slots...but I'm good with it. My thing with this pick is that I wanted immediate impact from it. I did not want another "project". This pretty much guarantees that we';; get 2026 impact from our #1 pick

I am thinking they would have asked for a bit more back IF Lawrence was asking for far more $$$. So I think the tarde value has to account for good value with his contract as well.

There is no doubt this guy can play he is is strong

As an ox and so nimble and quick if he's motivated which I believe he is the nfl better look out!

Well the Rams found two immediate starters at DL in 2024 with Verse and Fiske so it can be done.

It looks like last year was a disaster across the board, not just here. There were 10 DT or edge players taken in round one and maybe a couple of them had good seasons.

Anne Hodges got hit by a meteorite. So that's something that's possible.

Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning 7 different times.

Laura Buxton released a balloon with her name on it. It flew 140 miles and landed in the front yard of Laura Buxton. (No relation)

And the Rams found two starters at the same position in the second round once.

(And does that mean we need to hold on to the #10 pick??)

I think it’s fair to say it’s a win-win. The pearl clutching about trading a top 10 pick has been predictable from the national media. In general, draft picks are overvalued as unknown commodities. 1st round picks typically have a bust rate between 30-50%. And that’s before factoring in a weaker draft class overall, especially at the top of the draft. Bottom line, the Bengals improved their defense with an aggressive move that surprised nearly everyone. They’re betting on a known player instead of hoping their target falls to #10 and pans out. If Lawrence performs to the level he’s proven to be capable of playing, there’s no one in the draft that would have a bigger impact.

Yeah I think its a win win too, I dont know why people are so ennamored with one team having to get the best of the other, this benifited both teams

Just media shit-stirring for engagement. What do you want them to do, legitimate journalism? This is so much easier.

It will be fun to see who's there at #10 on Thursday night. The thing is, it's not like either Penei Sewell or J'Marr Chase will be sitting there. If past drafts are any indication, the #10 pick will likely be a project of sorts like JJ McCarthy, DeVonta Smith, or Colston Loveland . We need max impact right now

Don’t disagree generally - but as the Bengals D can attest, Loveland was pretty stout and he had a very solid rookie year. 700+ yards, almost 60 catches, and 6 TDs.

I admit it, I had no idea that BJ Hill had been double-teamed so many times.

All the national media "experts" that are putting their foot in their mouths talking reckless about the Bengals losing the trade will have to own it when the whistle blows on Sunday afternoons in the fall.

Also, this defense is only 75% percent finished because if we add Bosa and Rodriquez in the draft then I like our chances against anyone when healthy.

Dare to dream. After the Dexter trade I'm not ruling out anything at this point.

If Joey B and a few other restructure their deals then adding Bosa is not a problem. I'm sure the closer to the season the more motivated Bosa will be join a team that is one dynamic pass rusher away from being a top 10 unit.
