Bengals announce new #'s

Featured Replies

This is big news and deserves it's own thread.

The Bengals have finally given up their stubbornness on allowing single digit defensive numbers. Everything is changing in the Nati it seems.

It probably was as was Cook's #6 when he signed.

The Bengals old policy was foolish as young guys take their #'s and 'aura branding' very seriously.

I wish they had given Stewart his college #4, but perhaps although they are allowing the single digits, they still want you to "earn" it (DJ & Cook have).

They thought it was inappropriate to constantly remind him of how many tackles he made last year.

Hey that's the same # of sacks he had during his entire college career if I recall? Rounding up, that is.
