2026 Draft Day Two Thread—Presented By Some Home Improvement Place

Kinda off topic but ESPN and Pittsburgh getting roasted for whizz poor draft coverage.

Makes me glad I watched "Ruble Fish" and a doc on Marilyn Monroe and the Kennedy bros

on streaming instead.

My wish pick is Emmanuel McNeil-Warren but if he is not there I would like CJ Allen. Cant say I would hate the idea of adding McDonald though to solidify the DT position.

I fear most of my wishlist is going to get taken from picks 33-40 though. 🙁

The Bengals should be trying to move up, not down. Quality over quantity.

That's interesting because my son was watching an ESPN stream (He doesn't have cable.) and was asking my husband not to tell him the picks because it was behind ABC. He didn't want to watch ABC because there is too much fluff.

I watched the first hour of the draft on ABC and then the season finale of "Matlock". 🤣

It’s great that T-Dub is shouting out to the unnamed sponsor(s). Much respect.

I hope it’s a CB-LB combo tonight.

Jalen Davis was/is a good story but I don’t want him starting… and ideally they get a guy who can play both slot and outside, since depth isn’t good outside either, and CBs get banged up. If either Turner or Hill get a long term injury, they are effed as currently constructed.

As such, I’d even consider going DB in both rounds 2 and 3.

At LB, I like Carter as a nickel-type LB but not sure about him starting. Again, depth isn’t good at all. Burks didn’t show anything and Heyward and Giles Harris are good STers.

Some good talent is available in both areas. Seems like there’s more depth at CB than LB, and I have a feeling they’ll wait on LB until later - but if a guy like CJ Allen or JRod are there, I’d think hard about taking either one.

Later on (day 3), I like LB guys like Bryce Boettcher and Jimmy Rolder.

Unless he falls to the 4th then I'm considering it. Right now we need a LB, and C. We do need a CB for the slot, but may McCoy would make sense long term if the injury is something he can really heal from.

Preach it brother!

If Cashius Howell is available, and we do not draft him, we are the dumbest team in the NFL..

I'm guessing he's not that high on their list at 41...

The good news is that 19 offensive players were picked last night and that has pushed several defensive players down into Round 2. The list of best available is heavy on defense and they will have multiple options at both CB or LB with pick 41. A move down is possible and I wouldn’t mind an extra pick in rounds 3 or 4. Whichever they don’t take in the 2nd will definitely be an option in the 3rd, along with safety, edge, or OL.

McDonald is likely to be the first player off the board. Only question is whether the 49ers take him for themselves or trade the pick. Plenty of offers.

I am tempted to start the Rodriguez prayer circle, but I know it will jinx him, and then he will get drafted in the first couple picks of round 2.

But you better believe if he is still there at pick 38 ... the circle will begin. 📿100_pray

My gut right now is telling me the Bengals have Colton Hood at the top of their board. But he also might not make it to pick 41.

I personally would take Hood (left) over McCoy (right), because of the health concerns.

But I can see the logic in swinging for the fences on McCoy if he is there.

I've started watching the coverage... mostly glazing the Rams over and over about how they're just so uniquely capable of taking on a QB project with a mid-first pick instead of taking anything at all that might help them now.

May be just the photo quality…but Hood looks thin. McCoy…ripped

Agreed, I wouldn't take McCoy before the 6th round. Bengals need to have a very low risk tolerance this year. No projects with premium picks.

I'm not saying use 41 for Stower but it might be nice to have a healthy true TE so they don't feel the need to carry 5-6 on the active roster. That seems excessive & the will-he-or-won't-he with All was a wasted pick and waste of everyone's time. Sucks for him but they're free to give him a million dollars if they want without confusing their charity with building a football team. No use for another Eifert or Ross type that has us holding our breath every time he gets tackled. Move on.

Look at the grass. It doesn't line up or match....

Those are pictures from their media day stuff back before their fall season that were photo-shopped together. Don't take anything from that picture because some poor intern probably just forced them to be same size and smooshed them together.

J-Rod or D-Pond

Or a trade back

Would you be willing to watch the draft on pay per view for $20 for the weekend with no commercials?
