April 25Apr 25 comment_1826565 Does look like OL is the value pick in 4.. Rounds 6&7 who cares draft a backup QB. Might still find a WR that can catch in traffic or a blocking RB with decent hands. Or a whole lotta nothin'LG Fairchild 29C Karras 27 BayerRG Risner 27 Rivers 29This 👆 remains sketchy Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826571 Big fan of Ahh Whatever! Go there a lot; customer service is really spotty though. Employee indifference. The Bengals have an alarming lack of depth on the OL and a weird confidence in Cody Ford that I don’t get. I would expect someone like Travis Burke if he’s available. IIRC he was one of their 30 visits. Of course, LB is a big need too but they don’t seem too concerned. They are not only expecting Knight and Carter to make huge leaps in effectiveness, they’re expecting them to stay healthy. That’s a lot. Report

IMO the roster depth they have now are all solid STers. Burks had one nice playoff run for Philly a few years ago but he didn’t show much last year. While I do like Jimmy Rolder quite a bit, they need a veteran presence and injecting another day 3 rookie into the mix likely isn’t gonna help in the short term. Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826576 Thought this was interesting. In particular a few quotes from Al Golden about last year’s draft and about Jalen Davis and the slot position. https://open.substack.com/pub/charlieschalkboard/p/the-bengals-change-their-day-2-formula?r=vikmq&utm_medium=ios Report

April 25Apr 25 comment_1826601 I hope they take LB or OL in the 4th. Kyle Louis from Pitt and Lawson from Alabama would be my top two choices at LB. At OL, the best options would be Hecht at center or Crownover at OT. Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826603 I thought the Bengals might take McCoy in Rd 4 if he's still there ... and then I read that his agent is Mulugheta 🤮That might be blacklisting him just as much as his knee issues. Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826604 To me, a team that has a lot of draft picks can take a chance on McCoy, we dont Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826605 I love the RB Mike Washington and see him as a Rd 4 possibility and insurance policy to Chase Brown injury or contract disputes. Emmett Johnson is another RB possibility I would like. Report

April 25Apr 25 comment_1826612 Because the Bengals don't have a 5th rd pick I guess trading down is a possibility to get one ... though I am a quality over quantity guy and would prefer packaging our two 6s and two 7s for another 4th and just grab 2 guys in this round and be done with the entire draft. I think for teams that have sharper draft boards and scouts they should target and move up. I think quantity helps the smaller scouting staff concept. Report
April 25Apr 25 comment_1826614 The one positive of having 4 picks in Rds 6 and 7 is those are all really cheap flyer picks where you have almost no risk ... so we can try an international player that has never played football before, or a 3rd QB, or just some prospect who is 6'10 but doesn't even know what football is. I would be ok with the Bengals taking 2-3 of the biggest OL on their board in the hopes that just one of them is better than Ford. Report
