i would say if colbie young & all both have a good camp he might not even make the 53, but the team seems very over-invested in him for some reason. for a 6th round pick idk why they're still trying to make Yoshi happen. i'm sure they can find someone that would better take advantage of the kind of match-ups he's been seeing. Marketable I guess? Smiles at Ol' Musty every day? It sure isn't production.

I don’t have a problem with Iosivas being on the roster. He’s a good run blocker and he has had some value in the red zone. I also think he could be an excellent special teams player even though they haven’t used him much in those roles.

The problem is that he’s averaged 78% of the scrimmage snaps over the past 2 seasons. That’s way too much usage for the level of production Iosivas has provided. If he got only about 30% of the snaps over the course of the season, then maybe the offense could be more versatile and less predictable.

Soooo..your saying hes meh but keep him anyway for old times sake as he does know the system.

Look he's below average in all faucets in his game....

They had no other choice but to play himsave Charley ( I'm fast but allways injured) Jones and scrubs..

You have a 53 man roster and very large practice squads now. It is impossible for the Bengals (or any other NFL team) to fill every single roster spot with non-meh players.

A big/fast/strong player like Iosivas has a ton of special teams value. He also has value as a slot guy who can dig out a nickel CB on running plays. He just has absolutely no business averaging 75-80% of the offensive snaps over a 17 game season. That is too much for too little.

When I say 30% offensive usage over the course of the season, I’m factoring in Higgins and/or Chase missing time for injuries. And who knows when Chase might spit on a guy and be suspended for a game.

As long as they pay both Chase/Higgins, then the rest of the WR room will be filled out with guys on rookie contracts like Iosivas/CJones. Just have to make it work somehow.

id like to know how often he's being asked to run block and how often his blocking matters when he does. i think its safe to assume he wouldnt be missed.

im not even that anxious to cut him, I'm only wondering why they're still trying to hype up a very average 6th round pick like he's a break-out star player.
