CTA513
DETROIT -- I didn't believe they'd do it, but sure enough, the Reds have signed Joe Mays to a minor-league contract. Mr. Mays, you may recall, made six starts for the Royals this year, going 0-4 with a 10.27. He was designated for assignment May 8 and released May 16.
Guest oldschooler
Krivsky used to work for the Twins. And Mays played for the Twins between 1999-2005. So Krivsky knows what he`s getting. His career ERA is 4.98. Guest Johnsons4Life
I remember one time at the beginning of his career he was supposed to be pretty good and shows the "flash" a lot but was never consistent. Maybe like another Arroyo. Although I think every pitcher might do that.
Guest ThurmanMunster
mays had an injury i believe and i think Hume can fix any problems he has, he has a solid arm just needs some work and could be decent. he could be a solid guy for the bullpen too i think.
