1. Houston Texans - Reggie Bush, RB, USC
* The obvious pick for the Texans. The new head coach believes in David Carr and will try to take some pressure off of him with this pick.

2. New York Jets (from New Orleans) - Matt Lienart, QB, USC
* The Jets use the extra pick from the Broncos to Jump ahead of the Titans and make sure they get the QB they want.

3. Tennessee Titans – DaBrickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia
* This might be the Titans pick even if Lienart is still on the board. Any QB could look a whole lot better with “Da-Brick” watching his back.

4. New Orleans Saints (from New York) – Mario Williams, DE, NC State
* They have their eyes fixed on Super Mario even if they aren’t able to trade down. They can use the late first round pick from NY to get a LB.

5. Green Bay Packers – AJ Hawk, LB, Ohio State
* An impact player any time he takes the field. He will look real good on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.

6. San Francisco 49ers – Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland
* Alex Smith needs a target badly. They don’t get any bigger than Davis. A physical freak that will spell instant offense for any team.

7. Oakland Raiders – Vince Young, QB, Texas
* They need some help all over the place, but Vince Young spells $$$ and that is all that Al Davis cares about.

8. Buffalo Bills – Michael Huff, CB/S, Texas
* Rumor has it that the Bills don’t think Ngata is right for their defense. Huff will be groomed to replace Nate Clemmons next season.

9. Baltimore Ravens (from Detroit) – Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon
* Baltimore needs an impact player at DT badly to free up Ray Ray. They won’t get Ngata or Bunkley at 13, so they make sure they get the top DT available.

10. Arizona Cardinals – Winston Justice, OT, USC
* I don’t think that Cutler is the answer in Arizona, so they get the OT to protect whoever lines up behind center.

11. St. Louis Rams – Jimmy Williams, CB/S, Va Tech
* A lot of mock drafts have them taking Greenway, but I don’t agree. In a division built on speed and receivers, they need to keep pace.

12. Cleveland Browns – Brodrick Bunkley, DT, Florida State
* Will spell Big Ted Washington on passing downs and take his place next season. Could be the best addition of all for the Mistake on the Lake.

13. Detroit Lions (from Baltimore) – Tye Hill, CB, Clemson
* Detroit missed out on Huff, so they get some additional picks to drop four spots. Hill is the best corner talent available.

14. Philadelphia Eagles – Ernie Sims, LB, Florida State
* With no DT worth the pick here, the Eagles begin the run on LB. Sims has emerged as the #2 LB behind Hawk.

15. Denver Broncos (from Atlanta) – Jay Cutler, QB, Vanderbilt
* They don’t really need a QB, but Plummer’s time will come sooner than later. He will watch and learn from behind a clipboard until the time comes.

16. Miami Dolphins – Jonathan Scott, OT, Texas
* With Cutler gone, the best value is in a solid LT at this point. Scott had a solid college career and should be a solid addition that could start day one.

17. Minnesota Vikings – Chad Greenway, LB, Iowa
* Cutler? Gone. Sims? Gone. Greenway is the next best backer on the board. He doesn’t fit as well as Sims would, but is a proven football player.

18. Dallas Cowboys – Manny Lawson, OLB, NC State
* Demarcus Ware II? It worked so well once that Jerry Jones jumps all over this year’s version.

19. San Diego Chargers – Antonio Cromartie, CB, Florida State
* They have needed corner talent for some time now and finally try and do something about it.

20. Kansas City Chiefs – Tamba Hali, DE, Penn State
* The secondary was much improved last season, but the pass rush needs to improve a whole lot. A good pass rush will only make DBs look better.

21. New England Patriots – DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis
* Corey Dillion as about done. They need to reestablish the running game to take pressure off of Brady.

22. Denver Broncos (from Washington) – Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State
* They finally get someone else to throw to other than Rod Smith. His speed can change a game on any play.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Marcus McNeil, OT, Auburn
* If he lasts this long, they can’t pass on him. The best Auburn tackle since Big Willie Anderson. Only allowed ONE SACK his entire career!

24. Cincinnati Bengals – Jason Allen, CB/S, Tennessee
* The versatile type of DB that Lewis demands. Solid speed despite the hip injury and is solid against the run as well.

25. New York Giants – Bobby Carpenter, LB, Ohio State
* The Giants need corners and outside linebackers, but Carpenter is the best value at this pick.

26. Chicago Bears – Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami
* They already have Muhammad, and now they bring in their version of Steve Smith. They could also go with a TE, but either way it should be on offense.

27. Carolina Panthers – Lendale White, RB, USC
* They team up the bruising style of White with the quickness of Foster to reestablish the running game they lacked all last season.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars – Ashton Youboty, CB, Ohio State
* The Jags need a corner bad. Youboty continues a long line of OSU corners in the NFL.

29. New Orleans Saints (from Denver through NY) - Demeko Ryans, LB, Alabama
* They got the DE in Williams and now they pick up some help at linebacker as well.

30. Indianapolis Colts – Lawrence Maroney, RB, Minnesota
* Maroney has some big shoes to fill. He fits the Colt offense well and has a lot of experience playing in a dome.

31. Seattle Seahawks – Jonathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina
* You can never have enough good corners in the NFC West. He will fill the spot left by Dyson.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers- Donte Whitner, S, Ohio State
* They fill the hole left by Chris Hope. Another player that has speed to play corner, but played safety in college.
