Posted June 21, 200619 yr comment_285143 Anybody who isnt stupid realizes the Reds need a lot of help in our bullshit pen. Here r some realistic guys I think da Reds should go after. LaTroy Hawkins RH RP-Orioles He's on a 1 year deal makin bout 4.5 mil Roberto Hernandez RH RP-Pirates 1 year deal 2.75 mil Damaso Marte LH RP-Pirates 1 year deal 2.25 mil Ray King LH RP-Rockies 1 year deal 2.5 mil Jorge Julio RH RP-Diamondbacks 1 year deal 2.5 mil Scott Shields RH RP-Angels not sure how many years, makin 2.1 mil Rafael Soriano RH RP-Mariners 26 years old, can throw 98 mph, makin 450 K, Id bust a load if we got him Bob Wickman RH RP-Indians makin 5 mil, dont kno the years Guillermo Mota RH RP-Indians He's strugglin this year, but he's still better than our shit, he's makin 3 mil Most of these teams r already out of the race and all of these guys are pitching good besides Mota. I think if this team is goin to stay where they're at they need to go get help now instead of waitin till the deadline. I kno we need a 5th starter, but we need bullpen help a lot more. Big Bob said he would spend money if we were in it and needed help, so when the hell r we gonna get help?
June 21, 200619 yr comment_285145 They should get some guts and try out the guys on the Reds AAA & AA teams.

I think if this team was out of it right now, Id be all for putting in ur young guys, but I dont think u can make a playoff run with a bullpen full of new guys. But if they dont make any moves, I would rather see David Shafer than the Weather Man and the other young guys down on the farm.
June 21, 200619 yr comment_285147 Well, i agree that it's time to do something. I don't want management to wait to see if we'll be in contention by the trading deadline, because if we continue to play the way we are right now with our shitty bullpen (and this is assuming that we start scoring runs like we should be), we won't be.

No reason to have them rotting away in the minors when they could be helping out the major league club.
June 22, 200619 yr comment_285282 id only consider Marte, Shields, Soriano (definitly) for our team. Everyone else wont help as they are bad too.
