  1. It’s some strange way of being “cool” with one’s locals I reckon.

Cleveland has this annoying “The Land” going on with the Cavs and the GuarIndians. NY has a wide arrangement of things from Statue of Liberty heads to the new Mets ensemble simply saying “Queens”.

The trend isn’t new really. An old one from long ago was this

Alway thought this on was weird. They didn’t play in San Francisco, and the name “Golden State” had nothing to do with San Francisco either.

The fixed that—even though they now do play in “the City”—by just making it a region

I would. Mulugheta is a POS and I can't find record of the Bengals ever reaching a negotiated contract with any of his clients. It's personal with him at this point.

If I was Mike Brown I would ban him from the stadium with a restraining order.

All draft picks are slotted. There is little, if any room for negotiation. Even this dickbag can’t monkey with it

A lot of people suspect Sweat is an alcoholic, based on his BAC combined with pretty good performance on the tests the cops gave him. They read it as he's a highly functional problem drinker. Getting to his .105 at his weight required a lot of drinks and if he was inexperienced, he would have been swaying and slurring his speech more.

I would like to see these “people” and their expert findings. If it is just supposition from tank-topped TV blabbermouths, then question the source strongly.

Are there any actual medical/psychological opinions? Otherwise it appears to be bollocks

Sweat is droppin like a hot rock

    To many ? about him.

    Maybe another Sheldon or Carman.

    Too Risky..

Sheldon was a 4th rounder. Not a major toss of dice. Boom or bust. Carman was a bad pick in that he was a natural LT and they not only used him too early, they put him at a position he had no business (or experience) playing. Both, however, were above average at the collegiate level.

A flub-up on a night out on the town does not discount what he did on the field at Texas. There may be better “value” picks at NT later on, but for a true description of what the Bengals need as a pure NT, he is it.

The Bengals met with him…he’s been vetted. If they suspected a chronic issue, then that is one matter.

    Doesn't look like a jet.

    Looks like a dolphin..😎

    It was 1963…and the AFL.

Fun fact: the NY Titans were bought in 1963 for the stupendous sum of $1million dollars (cue Dr Evil). The name was changed to the “Jets”, because it rhymed with “Mets” and each were going to be playing in the then new Shea Stadium. The location was also near LaGuardia Airport, so that factored in also.

Having seen some baseball back in the day at Shea, the flight patterns out and into LaGuardia basically were overhead. Lots of noise.

The main thing for me is DON'T draft an unathletic OLineman, especially in round one. Here is a pic posted by Joe Goodberry on twitter showing what the Bengals could have had if they had just drafted the very next OL that had an RAS of 9.5+ instead of the bust that was picked.  Having said that, I would also be happy if either Newton or Murphy were selected. Edit to add, I don't consider Volsen to be a bust, but we COULD have done better.

  7. It’s difficult to separate the athlete from the person sometimes.

I watched him, single-handedly, try to carry a so-so USC team to a national title in 1969 against the consensus National Champion Ohio State. He was an amazing force. Then, watched him, single-handedly, carry a so-so BUF team in 1973 with the single-season rushing yards record (which lasted a long time). He was an amazing force. Football-wise, he was more than deserving to be in both the collegiate and pro football halls of fame.

The person, was an enigma. Naturally charming and engaging—and at the same time angry and violent. At the end of the double-murder saga, I found myself not really sure what to believe. Was he capable? Of course. Did a jury of his peers convict him? Sordid as that was, they did not. To this day, I still wonder.

With that said, he continued even afterwards in bizarre—and ultimately—criminal acts (for which a jury of his peers did convict). That he was unstable in the years leading up to his departure, was more than evident.

I am uncertain of what to think of his departure from this life. He will face a judge much more just than Lance Ito—and by that it means that all of the truth will be laid out in that court. Whether that judge convicts him, I cannot say. But all of the Heismans, HOF jackets, and Hertz commercials, will be of no use there.

A great athletic life, a pointless personal life.

Not sure why Tee would be frustrated with other tagged players getting deals. Perhaps they accepted fair amounts instead of asking for too much?

Once again…other than media hacks saying he’s “frustrated”, when has he said that he is (like a quote or something)?

And I don’t mean like when someone says “ the process can be frustrating..yada yada”. None of that confirms “I hate this team”
