    Nah… CFT=WFT

    Both nameless franchises

    I disagree.

WFT = Washington Football Team.  That was the name of team, the Washington Football Team.  That was the name they used when they decided to stop calling themselves "Redskins" but hadn't yet come up with the new "Commanders" name.

CFT = Cleveland's Football Team.  It's possessive.  It's not the name of the team, it refers to the team that is currently playing in Cleveland.  I began calling them that a few years ago to make a distinction between the team that is currently calling themselves "Browns" and the original Cleveland Browns.   The original team was was founded in the 1940's by Paul Brown, which was owned by Art Modell for much of its' history, and which was driven out of Cleveland following the 1995 season and which moved to Baltimore.

The Current Browns team was later founded in 1999 by Al Lerner and has played football for 25 years.

    They are two distinct entities.

CFT = Cleveland's Football Team.  Their CURRENT team, the one that hasn't (yet) left town.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WROC) – Due to wintry conditions and sub-zero temperatures Sunday’s Bills vs. Stealers game at Orchard Park has been postponed. Governor Hochul made the announcement Saturday in a storm briefing in Cheektowaga. The game will be held Monday at Highmark Stadium at 4:30 p.m.

The Pittsburgh Stealers Wild Card matchup with the Buffalo Bills is not believed to be a candidate for a location change but they may need to change.

On Friday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul issued a State of Emergency ahead of the playoff wild card game.

The State of Emergency is declared in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, and Wyoming Counties.

The Buffalo Bills play in Erie County, which is where Highmark Stadium is located in Orchard Park.

Hochul said on Friday that she has activated 100 members of the New York National Guard to be in place in Western New York this weekend to assist with the snow event.

They are still playing in Buffalo…but the Traveling Yinzers are being told not to come—as they may not be able to get there:

That link will be broken since the site automatically inserted "Stealers" in it.  I've used TinyURL to create an alternate link to that article:

    Someone hit a bridge

Bridges are some of the easiest things NOT to hit.  They're designed to not be hit, and as they don't move they're really predictable.

Bear left, the bridge moves to the right.  Bear right, the bridge moves to the left.  Accelerate, the bridge moves toward you quicker.  If the bridge is approaching too fast, slow down to slow IT down.  And if you're worried it might hit you, stop.... it will stop.  It moves at a constant speed of ZERO.  All you gotta do to not hit it is to Not. Hit. It.

Unless you're drunk, then better you hit that bridge than me in my car.
